Advent calendar

I very much doubt we'll get new rules. They had ample oppertunity after our dataslate dropped to add cool formations or new units. Neither happened so I think they have moved on.

A new short story would be cool. Maybe Stern or Crowe.

Hmm... I wonder if it'll be another Draigo short. The last one that showed up for BL's Advent event had him wandering through the Warp towards what was implied to be the Warhammer Fantasy world.

And then in the End Times: Khaine supplement,

there's supposedly a Wood Elf who launches a rescue mission into Nurgle's domain and picks up a couple of party members in the Warp - one of whom is a silver-clad knight whose "speech is strange," is described as "being beyond the power of the daemons," has made many enemies for himself since he was cursed to wander the Warp, and fights daemons by waving his hand at them and making them burst in little explosions.

That certainly sounds like our wayward Supreme Grand Master. I wonder if we'll see anything expanding on that.

Well he's probably run out of storm bolter rounds by now, so he's back to 'Purge Soul' and Titansword.

I certainly hope not. I like to think of WHFB and 40K as distinct from each other. I like the little homages to 40K in WHFB, but I wouldn't want them to be officially linked.

They're part of the same universe dude. I don't think they've ever given the WHFB planet a name, but the warp is exactly the same and intentionally so. WHFB came first though, hence why their rules for psykers/Wizards are different etc (also its a different setting, tech level wise).

Nah, not any more. They declared them to be separate entities many many moons ago. They still throw in the odd homage, like the rewards from the Albion campaign, but they're their own thing.

Surely it should have said a "ogre sized knight", since ya know... He's a Space Marine in terminator armour.

But I always liked the idea of the universes being linked! I found it cool how chaos has always been a constant, and as civilisations spread throughout the galaxy, the strength of chaos has also grown (which is why they're so very scary in the 40k universe)

They're seperate franchises, but they occur in the same fictional universe. They have to. The exact same Daemon champions exist across both franchises, same Chaos Gods etc. Even the origins lore is from the same place (Old Ones re-shaping world to their purposes, leaving vassal races to oversee development, dying in a great psychic cataclysm etc).
They will probably make our event be that the bro champ is back on webstore since he was pulled 5 months ago

You mean the old metal Justicar ;) ? Maybe they're doing a re-sculpt.

Ok, according to a link on natfka, the GK release is "Datacards: Grey Knights"

Really, GW? Are we playing Warmachine now?

I mean, I like and use the psychic cards, they are a great gaming tool. But this is just getting stupid.
