ElectricPaladin
Yeah bashing the enemies of man with a young space wolf is always fun. More seriously though, am I missing something? AFAIK the current blood talon rules are S user (6), AP 1, whereas the Blood Fist rules are S 2*user (10) AP 1. What's the point of using a single blood talon? The extra attacks only kick in if the dreadnought has a pair of blood talons. It still has the Shred USR. For the last couple of editions, Shred (rerolling failed To-Wound rolls) has been a quality of lightning claws even when wielded singly. The same appears to be true of blood talons. Quixus
Yeah I forgot about shred. Additionally Blood Talons are not AP 1 but AP 3 (as lightning claws). So rerolls and less AP and only instant death on T3 models vs AP2 and and ID up to T 5. I'd take the single Blood Fist.
Leonaides
Is a good point. My bad, should have rectified the loadout rather than commenting on the presented options...
Helias_Tancred
So as a newbie still learning optimum setups, the bloodfists would be a better choice ... or if using the frag cannon the single blood fist is a better choice than the single blood talon? Thanks.
Gaweda
I'd say with the new codex that a single blood talon would be the better choice.
