Draigo in Fantasy?

Slave to Darkness

Recommended Posts

Taken from BoLS http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2014/12/breaking-40kfantasy-crossover.html

Araloth (the wood elf) ventured into the Realms of Chaos on a mission at one point and while there meets, and is aided by, a scholar, a sorcerer, and an unusually large knight in gleaming silver armor. He is described as speaking in a strange language and claims that he has made a name for himself within the Realms of Chaos. When he fights demons he can fling out his hand and have blue flame erupt amongst them (storm bolter with psy bolts?).

He distracts the demons long enough so that Araloth can complete his mission and on his way back out the elf sees the "knight" impaled upon a spear but still alive. He wants to save him but the scholar says that he will be fine and that the demons cannot ever truly kill him.

So it never says it's him... but it definitely sounds like Draigo to me. An overly large "knight" wandering the Realms of Chaos who is well known by its inhabitants? I think we just had out first 40k/Fantasy cross over in awhile. I think the writers thought they were being more subtle about it then they were...

Thoughts people??

Why would draigo not immeditely slay the elf though?

Don't be silly, grey knights and xenos are bros in the wardverse.
GK and Eldar are bros pre-Ward, from back in the old days when only Harliquins and Inquisitors had access to the Black Library, and GKs counted as Inquisitors (which they still do post-Ward).

The kool-aid levels in this thread are getting dangerously high.

Draigo don't give a flying :cuss about Xenos, just like he doesn't care about the Dark Angel's terrible dark secret. He, like the rest of the Grey Knights, are pragmatists. If you're killing chaos and at least being neutral to the Imperium in the process, he's not going to complain.

Raverrn, this really isn't your scene. Just back out the door slowly and move along.

.........................guys, come on, really? 5th edition is so long ago now. We've had an audio book come out which addressed this issue, and a new codex which stripped out anything even vaguely offensive (and a bunch of rules too, yay!).

I guess I'll let this thread stand, but only as containment. If it gets out of hand, I won't bother with warnings. It'll just get locked.

Now c'mon Darius! You know I'm basically an argument elemental - this sort of thing is my bag, baby.

But seriously, you guys need to take a step back, take a deep breath, read the story and THEN make a judgement.

Hint: There's nothing egregious in the story.

I love the fact that they decided to include (what in my mind is no doubt Draigo) the Giant silver armored knight. There has been a very real theory that fantasy existed in the 40k universe and I for one love that thought process.

PS keep on keeping on raverrn. :P
