Renoster
How far into campaign do Astartes appear? Do they change the dynamic greatly? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300101-wh40k-armageddon/#findComment-3900996 Share on other sites
Jarl of Wulfen
They show up 1/3 of the way through. I use landraiders over guard tanks once I can get em, oh and titans too :-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300101-wh40k-armageddon/#findComment-3901161 Share on other sites
Jarl of Wulfen
As an fyi, there have been 3 new space marine centric campaigns put out since release. One for BAs, Ultras and Salamanders. There have also been a few one-off scenarios as well. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300101-wh40k-armageddon/#findComment-4053866 Share on other sites
Olis
Hmm. Since this heavily reminds me of Final Liberation, I really must look into getting this. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300101-wh40k-armageddon/#findComment-4053879 Share on other sites
Jarl of Wulfen
Its not a bad game and it can be pretty challenging. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300101-wh40k-armageddon/#findComment-4053902 Share on other sites
Stofficus
It's almost like a strategic puzzle. The game presents you with a series of objectives, a large array of units with various strengths and weaknesses (urban fighting, defensive, anti-cover, anti-horde, etc, etc) and tells you to figure out how to accomplish them. What I like is unlike a lot of other games of this ilk, there isn't just one way to achieve victory; whether you want to run an armoured horde, a Titan legion, purely Space Marines or honest men on foot, the choice is yours and while some routes are more difficult than other, very little is truly impossible.
