helterskelter
Oh it's beautiful, yes it's beautiful, I don't need predators anymore :p sorry I appear to have been getting lyrical. Jeff Newton
That looks great in the yellow and black. The purple lenses really pull it together tho. Firepower
That's a pretty solid chunk of gold and black beauty you've got there. The weathering is delightful, and it's fun to see folks run with the classic neon-yellow goodness. :D I do have two issues, though. First, for so much work and fine detail across the whole tank, the pennant-scriptures on the two front flanks look like rather rushed wash jobs. And second, I don't see any decals that have suffered damage like the rest of the tank, even the very large ones like the fists on the front flanks. Obviously there's no need to bang them up to hell and back because the weathering overall is fairly subtle, but there are a few which should at least be a bit dirty or have some chipping, like the previously mentioned fists, or the checker borders on the top-front. That's all I got. Again, good work :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300106-sicaran-battle-tank-imperial-fists/#findComment-3882474 Share on other sites
Gresiloth
Thanks for the comments Firepower! The scrolls haven't turned out particularly special you are right, even though there was a bit more to them than washing a single base colour. And good observations with the decals. I always intend to chip up those big Imperial Fists icons a bit, but then I chicken out as I haven't tested weathering decals yet and I didn't want to risk doing so on a big project like this. I'm sure it's quite a simple process though, and you're right it would bring them in line with the battle damage of the rest of the tank. My only slight get out clause to myself is the idea that the servitors would always make sure the chapter icon is re-painted before each battle... flimsy excuse I know! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300106-sicaran-battle-tank-imperial-fists/#findComment-3882639 Share on other sites
