Hillslam Posted December 8, 2014 Author Share Posted December 8, 2014 Easier to replace/swap the whole legs section than try to cut off and reshape the one leg. Here he is mostly finished, its not so bad I suppose from certain angles. I still need to do the first company emblem on his hip and some detail cleanup. The mold is slightly better than the space hulk termies. But some of the relief detail is very shallow, such as the shield and the tecxtured portion of his non-CruxTerminatus shoulder pad. Be careful with primer! Also - the iron halo is just destined to bend/fall off. It is a very poor design. I thought Lorenzo's and Gideon's adornments were flimsy. If you do any table top gaming transport that halo will eventually come off. Count on it. Got to say though rather than Hiptus Replacementus he looks more like Kneeus Dislocatus.I was thinking with the halo that a steady hand and a sharp knife could cut out the chalice out along with it's connection points to leave you a much sturdier piece to stick onto the back and a chalice bit for a priest.Managed to get this chap for £15 and free shipping. There's not a chance mine will be built stock (hate capes), but it's cool to start seeing some examples of what people have done with him already. Hillslam Posted December 8, 2014 Author Share Posted December 8, 2014 If you're going to be ditching the cape you'll need a new hammer arm, as the cape is molded to it. It might be good though, with a steady exacto knife and some green stuff. I think they took the torso&arms of Lorenzo, flipped it, and added the legs of Gideon with the front one cocked in mid turn.
