Helias_Tancred
Subject line says it all. I'm painting blood angels and I have a pot of Bloodletter. Seems to be the default red glaze. How would I use it? Thanks. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300116-how-do-you-use-glazes/ Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
It should be the 2nd layer straight after your base colour (Mephiston?) to add the darker colour in the recess'. However, when I use Washes/Glazes I usually add it second to last, right before the fine highlight as it ties all layers together better. Kilofix
Glazes will tint the entire area. Washes will tint primarily the recesses. Same as Grot, I use them before highlighting. Lucio
I use the glaze to help blend the highlights as well. I've tried to use it to help brighten the overall red colour on my Crimson Slaughter, but ended up using Blood for the Blood God to get my end result.
