Karhedron
I still have a hard time justifying Lemartes when Astorath brings so much more to the table, and doesn't cost me a slot that could be filled with another Furioso. True but he costs a slot that could be used by a Librarian or Priest. Horses for courses I suppose.
SnorriSnorrison
I'm thinking of running Lemartes, since he's better than your regular chaplain and I don't have any HQ slots left. Too bad they nerfed him, his stats are mediocre now and for 130 points is quite a hefty price tag. Snorri

True but he costs a slot that could be used by a Librarian or Priest. Horses for courses I suppose. With Dante not taking an HQ slot, I'm not seeing anywhere near as much competition for slots. All of my games of 7th have taught me that bringing a single psyker is almost never effective since you don't get enough dice to reliably get powers off, which means my only HQ options are Sanguinary Priests and Astorath. Xenith
My first list with the new codex has Dante, Astorath and a Priest with The Angel's Wing. Bit overkill perhaps but there's very little in the game that I'd be scared to take on with that unit. I'm sure a 4 Plasma Cannon Devastator Squad would be pretty scary for that unit. 16 years of gaming, and I've never actually seen one used in a game. appiah4
I actually run a dev squad with four missile launchers or three plasma cannons in most 2000pts lists..
SonOfThunder
I've seen them shoot at a sniper scout squad in cover that went to ground and lost a single scout to the 4 cannons. But later they shot at a just deepstruck GK termy squad and killed 4 right away. They are out there, I swear.
Daddywarcrimes
Back when I was playing Blood Hammer in 5th, I used a squad of plasma cannon Devs along with my two squads of missile Devs to deal with Paladins. They haven't seen the light of day in a serious army in years though.
appiah4
I had the same squads vs grey knights. Baals in HS make Devs very hard to squeeze in now. With no obj sec though 10 man squads with an auspex and Rhino are actually not that bad..
girot
I miss the days you could consolidate after a CC right into another enemy unit and attack. We probably read that wrong but I once had Mortar consolidate from tank to tank to tank in one turn. It was freakin glorious.
depthcharge12
I stick a barebones chappy with Angels wing in my DC squad to get them where they're needed and to prevent interceptor fire from Tau. It'll be fun telling them about how they can't snap fire a blast template at my guys haha. The plan is to drop the squad in close enough to cover that they can just run into it during the shooting phase as it'll help disperse them better and give cover. Deschenus Maximus
Libby, rolling on Divination. At worse, you'll get to reroll all your attacks thanks to Prescience. At best, you can get something really useful like Forewarning.
ThatOneMarshal
I'm planning on running them with jump packs and lemartes or adtorath.
Helias_Tancred
Tycho is my HQ and I was going to run him with them. I also have a jetpack Chaplain I *could* use but my DC is a 10 man bolter, infernus pistol, 2x powerfist group and they ride in a land raider redeemer ... so .... ThatOneMarshal
Hmm I have a 10 man death company that I'm assembling I was thinking either 10 in a pod or 10 with jump packs.
appiah4
I decided to take out the second pf dc out for a pf chaplain for 2000,pt games. At that size I can justify 70pts for the rerolls and 4++ cosidering a drop pod cant take more than 10. For 1500 pts its 10 dc and 2 pfs..

Raktra
I'll stick to my habits from right at the start of 4th and slap Lemontartes in with them. Maybe Dante every now and then, but I like Sanguinary Guard too much.

Drunken Angel
I actually run a dev squad with four missile launchers or three plasma cannons in most 2000pts lists.. Not to mention you will likely encounter Eldar Wraith Knights with a sun cannon/shield and scatter laser. Thats 4 S6 laser shots and then 3 twin linked AP2 S6 blast templates.
