chaos lord on bike builds?

 Hey! What would be a good build for a chaos lord on bike for 500p games?

For 500 points about the only item thats mandatory is a good weapon such as Lightning Claws, Axe of Blind Fury, Blade of the Relentless and/ Burning Brand.

today I played a game of 500p, and I used Blade of the Relentless and deamonheart, I ran the lord solo, and he died in overwatch.

Shouldn't have run the Lord solo. Or charged something with overwatch.

 

Weapons wise, fistyclaws (power fist & lightning claw) are good. But still no solo.

 

Burning Brand may be good though. Don't charge but burn baby burn.

Personally if i was gonna take a biker hq id take a sorceror on bike

Nurgle sorc on bike with force axe, ML 3 and daemonheart roll biomancy and stick him with 5 nurgle chaos spawn

 

that way the chaos spawn are tanky wounds, fearless, and tons of attacks. You may get a cool biomancy power like iron arm, warp speed, leech, or endurance. You have a force weapon for instant kills.

 

If you really want plague marines though then Nurgle lord with black mace or pfist + LC

 

If you don't like Nurgle, Khorne lord with axe and unmarked spawn.

 

I've seen slaanesh lords with that crimson slaughter sword do good with spawn too.

For the Slaanesh lords, you can also put them on a steed instead of a bike, so they can run while joined to the spawn and move even faster.

My warlord has bike, Mark of Nurgle, lightning claw and burning brand. At 500 points you could run that set up with a couple of spawn then fill out the rest of your force with marines in rhinos I guess. Maybe two squads of five with a plasma gun each?

At 500 points I plan to use:

 

Slaanesh lord on bike w/ lightning claw.

 

3 bikers w/ 2 melta guns and melta bombs for the champion.

 

2 blast masters, w/ 5 noise marines each.

 

With points so tight at that level I don't think you can afford to gear up your lord too much.

I think the brand and in a unit in a rhino is the best way to run a lord at 500. Leaves room for better stuff.

Axe of blind fury lord on a bike is my personal fav, but at 500pts with the mandatory MoK, bike and sigil he's a bit pricey, and he does need a biker escort. However at 500pts, very few units can deal with him.

This is the list that I run at the moment.

HQ
 Chaos lord. (Bike, nurgle, Blade of the Relentless,deamonheart .)

Troops

5 marines (rhino, havoc launcher) 
5 marines  rhino, havoc launcher)

Fast attack

3 bikers (2 melta)

 

What I thought of doing is take away the blade and heart, and give him the burning brand and give him 2 spawns.
