Converted Blood Angels Lord

Thanks for all comments :)

I use paints of various manufacturers. I really like Andrea paints.

Base for red was khador red base P3 painted with airbrush, but it was mistake, napoleonic red from Andrea would be way better.

Shadows were made with old GW scab red and black, highlights with some vallejo paint I don't remember ( ivory?) mixed with red.

Ok this is going to be unpopular but hear me out.

1) The painting is superb

2) The model is terrible

3) The base is poor.

Why is his paulduron (unblemished)  still in place and not his main chest armour? If his battle plate has been destroyed why no battle damage?

His face looks like Hellboy not a Blood Angel (the chin is just wrong)

The base is just flat red

This is never intended to be a criticism of your painting skills, as they are amazing but I would like to know the thought processes behind some of your decisions that in my opinion hold the diorama back

And that skeleton on the base has no reason to either be there or be in that position

I said on your WIP thread the issues I have with the model itself and those haven't been resolved with the final piece. That said, on a technical level, the painting is fantastic with the freehand being absolutely outstanding. The designs on the inside of the cloak and on the shield are jaw dropping-ly brilliant.
