GrunTeufel
A FW thousand sons dread I painted for a friend. I had a blast doing it. I didn't like the stupid looking chainsaw arm so replaced it with a space wolf left close combat arm. We are both aware of the irony. The base is generic and will probably change but for now it'll do. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk37/jacksonseverimben/WIP/2014-12-22032645_zpsa0fcd7c1.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk37/jacksonseverimben/WIP/2014-12-22032709_zps72ca0165.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk37/jacksonseverimben/WIP/2014-12-22032733_zps16b090d7.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk37/jacksonseverimben/WIP/2014-12-22032818_zps377b74d4.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk37/jacksonseverimben/WIP/2014-12-22032837_zpsf61a26d7.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk37/jacksonseverimben/WIP/2014-12-22032852_zpsee88d2ef.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk37/jacksonseverimben/WIP/2014-12-22032918_zps644157ee.jpg
hushrong
The claw arm definitely looks ace! Good thing this Thousand Son took it from a dead wolf, right? This dread has a terrific paint job and I am wondering what did you use for the blue and the gold? I wish to copy it, please.
GrunTeufel
Blue is kantor blue base than alaitoc blue layer. Highlighted with 3/1 mix of white and teclis blue. Gold is gehennas gold lightly washed with aggrax eartshade and than highlighted with a 1/1 mix of mythril silver and auric armor gold. I normally use an airbrush but I was in the mood for some brushing. It turned out better than I expected.
