bleedcrimson
Im in the process of building an honour guard squad and was thinking of putting them in a drop pod with my librarian (Chapter Master is on a Bike) Has anyone tried this tactic, wondered if it is affective. i know the LR is the preffered method of delivery but i dont have the funds for a LR. Armfelt
It depends on how casual your list is. But yes drop pods are good to get them into the enemy lines. Just watch out for the opponents AP 2 weapons. A chapter master with eternal warrior is often a good thing to put were you think will be the most dangerous side. But speaking about librarian, since the HG don't have a inva save, it could be an idea to atleast invest in a storm shield for the librarian. BassWave
I used to run a master and honor guard squad in a pod in the previous codex and had quite a bit of success with them. The key was dropping them in good hiding spots, and/or distract your opponent with something scarier. Kilofix
Devastating if your opponent doesn't have AP2. I was on the receiving end and even with massed shooting on the turn they Deep Struck, enough of them survived to totally decimate my ranks. But if your opponent has Plasma, then they are done for without Invul saves.
