GK Vs Deamons Campaign Box set?

Just saw one of the formations for BA in a recent white dwarf. If you get three storm ravens and three squads of tacticals you get teleport homers for free for the sergeants. As special rules you roll for reserves for the entire formations and you can roll from turn 1, the tacticals have objective secured and anything teleporting within 12" of two units of the formation with teleport homers they don't scatter AND they can charge on the turn they arrive.

Why don't we get stuff like that? It'd make sense fluff-wise and it't make our army much more interesting to play!

Until you realize that this formation costs you 1100 points on average and that you need to get a second detachment before you even have units that can deep strike and assault. It will not be relevant outside of 2.5k+ games.

It was just an example of what can be done to make a faction more interesting outside of a codex, I'm not saying gk would be fixed if we got that one formation...

Yeah it's clearly meant for Apoc. So while its fun and potentially hilarious with GK Allies, its not a combo you'll see in normal games.

GK allies will not be able to use it. It specifically states that only Codex:BA units can benefit from it.

Would be fun to combine with the assault formation though. Deep strike one vanguard and two assault squads that does not scatter, inflict a s4 hit on each model within 6" when they land and get to charge the turn they arrive :)

Lots of points but it sounds like fun to try once in a while.

Units. What happens when you attach a Blood Angel IC to a GK unit, or a Blood Angel unit to an GK IC?
Is this gonna happen or is this wishlisting and hoping??

Nah this is just wishlisting. GW will probably never do a campaign box for us, we're too niche.
