The Librarian with Terminator Squad 1#, the Inquisitor with Terminator Squad 2#. Deep strike the 2 squads on the servo-skulls. Shunt the Dreadknights into battle. Wreck tanks and HQs with the Doomhammer's magma cannon. Place the Commissar with the first squad of Guardsmen which will be used to deep-strike with the second squad of Guardsmen. Place the third squad with the Aegis Defence Line.

I just made this list quickly. I don't use Imperial Guard so i don't know what to put for troops.

Looking for tips for the Imperial Guard part(except the Doom Hammer) and whether I should switch anything else in the Grey Knight side.

Impguard is unbound as Commisar is no a valid HQ option and you are missing the mandatory platoon command squad (PCS)! You probably mean a lord commisar but its more pricey. Although you want to blob up for a meatshield (as a single squad is pathetic) I would always give each squad a flamer and / or meltabomb for 5. The PCS is best suited for backfield work and orders, give them 3-4 flamers or grenade launchers. I like 'nadelaunchers in a PCS better as they are versatile, have longer range, rapid fire and are often underestimated.

Deep striking guardsmen? How? What? Heresy!

You can swap sword for hammer on NDKs to get some of those points. Get rid of the single vox as it is useless (you need two vox, one on the order yelling and one on the order recieving squad. Also PCS orders aren't that important)

Also as the inquisitor is no part of a nemesis strike detatchment - he can not deepstrike with terminator#2 in the first round.

ok thanks biggrin.png

I use the platoons command squad, commissar, guardsmen squad number 1 for objectives and the second guardsmen squad in the aegis defence line?

Ah well, if you do not want to blob up it is better to take 2x veterants for 60 as they shoot better (BS4) and do not need a mandatory PCS. You can then spend these 30 points on equipment which might be 1x autocannon + sniper rifles for the aegis team and GL or Flamer for the other. Might es well spend some points on doctrines (cover or armor upgrade).

Thing is, veterans die as easy as standard guardsmen so they are best kept behind the aegis or in cover (or in a transport). They won't  win you the game and don't expect them to do anything but die - which is the duty of all guardsmen, so narrative: forged.

Actually, an attached Inquistor in TDA can Deep Strike turn 1 with a Deep Striking NSF squad, per the wording of Rites of Teleportation.

SJ

Because Inquisition = no faction? They are surely no Grey Knights anymore.
No. It is because Rites allows the NSF unit to DS turn 1, and the Combined Unit rules in the BRB tells us to roll once for the entire unit, including attached ICs and embarked upon vehicles. As there is no specific restricts to counter the permissions, the attached Inq in TDA goes along for the ride.

SJ

Deepstrike the guardsmen, no one expects it, not even the Inquisition!

I wish IG still had Doctrines. Outside of Forge World or just making an army of Veterans in Vendettas, it's hard to make a drop Guard list.
