Darellion
Probably already a topic on this one , but I didn't see it. apologies if there is. Best ways to combat Invisibility? I use guard, but have enough marines to ally in some. Merry Christmas everyone! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300997-invisibility/ Share on other sites

Fibonacci
Culexus Assassin Karn the Betrayer Squadron of 3 Wyvrens and a target kind of close to the invisible unit. An invisible unit of your own. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300997-invisibility/#findComment-3900642 Share on other sites
CrystalSeer
Culexus Assassin Karn the Betrayer Squadron of 3 Wyvrens and a target kind of close to the invisible unit. An invisible unit of your own. This. You can have a counter unit or you can try to counter the power. The big thing is that you have to minimize the effect of the invisible unit as much as possible through terrain and deployment, and the be ready to go full when the power breaks, either by not getting the cast off, or by denying, so that the unit doesn't get a chance to do it again. If you are facing someone with invisibility spam, I find the Assassins the easiest to use, although expensive. Darellion
Don't have wyverns or Karn, so looks like the Culexus is the cheapest ($) way to go, or possibly a Vindicare or 2 depending on just how their precision shots works was finally decided (only on a 6 or every shot taken, no book in front of me) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300997-invisibility/#findComment-3901136 Share on other sites

Lysere
Culexus makes psykers cry. I was playing a really big game against demons and I had a couple, (We weren't entirely sure if I could so I asked before hand and he was cool with it) man did he regret that. Just one of them can be a big problem, more than one is downright evil and I've decided to never run more than one without a really good reason. I'd say take the Culexus, he's hard to kill, quite strong in assault and murders anything that even looks like a psyker. Just keep him away from blasts and templates. Garath
It's not as bad as you think...It could be worse, much.much worse I was playing against a friend who uses Deathwing squads of 10 terminators with flamers and a DA 5 man Psyker formation and made the IK invisible.... I was playing an Ork green tide. Yeah, those guys 100 boyz, the Warboss, Mad Dok Grotsnik, a Painboy and several Nobz...and then killed the rest. It was sad Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300997-invisibility/#findComment-3911666 Share on other sites
Kaedes Nex
Squadron of 3 Wyvrens and a target kind of close to the invisible unit. I'm reminded of IG players who have lists with 100 mortar templates in them, or guys who kill things out of LoS by trying to scatter artillery over hills and buildings. Oh, those wacky Guard players. Fibonacci
No need to accidentally-on-purpose scatter over a hill. Wyverns fire Barrage. Twin-linked. With shred. Kaedes Nex
Invisibility units can't be targeted by templates. For the LoS I was referring to Ordnance. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/300997-invisibility/#findComment-3913418 Share on other sites
Kilofix
Karamazov + PsykOut Orbital + Human targeting beacon. Super Heavy Thunderblitz. Bulgryn Hammer of Wrath. Fibonacci
Invisibility units can't be targeted by templates. Thus the need for a target near by. We're not firing at the invisible unit. We are firing at the unit next to them. I'm still not sure what you mean about Ordnance. Barrage, and specifically the multiple barrage rule, is what lets you walk blast markes all over the enemy. Jacques Corbin
Raven Guard CT, Wings of Deliverence, lets you reroll failed to wound rolls when your jump pack marines get Hammer of Wrath. An assault squad with a JP Chaplain will get HoW rerolls, and rerolls to hit in the first round of combat.
