Gumb012
I'm looking at magnetizing some models for the first time, specifically the shoulders and backpacks of regular space marines and also the shoulders of terminators. At the moment I've found a good deal for a large quantity of rare earth magnets on a local bidding site, the size of which are 2mm in diameter and 1mm in depth, and a strength rating of N52. Will these do? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301138-magnet-size-strength/ Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
They will plenty strong enough for arms and such, but if you decide to magnetize tanks in the future you will need larger ones. With Magnets, it is the depth that gives a stronger bond, so a 1mm(face)x 2mm(depth) is better than a 1mm(depth)x2mm(face) for this sort of magnetizing (well that's how it was explained to me at least).
