My army....WITH PICS!

Thanks, wolfden76.

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm in the process of moving house. Today was hobby day so my wolves have moved and I didn't get chance to take a pic of the repainted units. You're not really missing out on anything....one squad had their bottom triangles on the shoulder pad filled in red!!

Now, I know these aren't wolves, but bear with me....I'm thinking of playing these guys as allies for some fun and games. Thinking Cassor v Murderfang and DC v BC's (as in, who can get the most kills)

Hi all,

Here's the next instalment of the Great Company project...and today's topic is... HEAVY SUPPORT!

Here we can see the latest additions - an anti-infantry Long Fang squad, Razorback and a Land Raider:

Now for some close ups:

Hope you enjoy. The next instalment should see another 10 Grey Hunters with a Razorback and a Land Raider Crusader!

And another final picture of Krom's Great Company so far. I now have all the minis to finish my vision of the great company (bar a Vindicator and maybe a Fellblade when £££ allow) and my Painter man has a few bits still to send me. Fingers crossed, this project will be finished by Christmas!!

That's in the pipeline!

I have 1 more GH squad incoming with bolters and a Rhino-back and another with a pod. That'll give me 2 dreads in pods (muderfang and a contemptor with multimelta and chainfist) and 3 GH squads - one squad each with plasmas, meltas and flamers.

Minor update for you guys.

Here's a few sneak peaks of some forth coming squads. The Wolf Guard are a just for fun unit I wanted to build. They all have storm shields and I'm toying with the idea of podding them in and MC / heavy infantry / war lord hunting with them. I know I could use the points more wisely but, like I say, I thought they'd be fun to play!

The next is my final drop pod unit. I have the two other 10-man squads (2x plasma and 2x melta) so it made sense that the third be armed with flamers. They'll be in the mix with a 10-man unit and a 6-man unit that have Rhino's / Razorbacks.

Anyway, in the next week or two I'll receive the next painted batch so will update the thread with pics then.

Cheers all!

Well, it has been a little while since my last update so I hope this one makes up for it!

Cheers, Dantay!

It's taken a while to get here and the plan to be done by Christmas is now completely unachievable.

Just a few bits to go and its all done...apart from the odd 'here and there' addition that takes my fancy....like a Sicaran ;-)

  • 10 Sky Claws
  • 15 Blood Claws
  • Vindicator
  • 5 PAWG (CCWs & SS)
  • 5 PAWG (Combis & SS)
  • Iron Priest
  • 10 Scouts
  • Spartan
  • Caestus Ram

With a bit of luck, I'll see the next instalment at the start of Feb - a Spartan and some Blood Claws!

Hi all,

Time for another update! Unfortunately, due to my terrible memory and forgetting which units I requested from my paintman, I can not show you pictures of a Spartan and some Blood Claws. However, I can present a Vindicators and 10 Sky Claws!

Hope you enjoy!

Next month will see the Spartan and 5 PA Wolf Guard. Not sure if it'll be the combi-meltas or the CC squad....I've asked him to surprise me!

I spent quite a bit of time looking at display cases.  To be honest, these one's were the best all round for me.  Easy to assemble (the instructions say for 2 people, but you can do it on your own if you're sensible and have space) and you get a lot of case for the money.

I've heard of a few people buying additional cut glass shelves and adding cross sections in to rest them on to increase the cases model capacity, but that'd beyond me.  Would certainly consider it for infantry trays, but in my opinion, unless you added another 3 (between the 4 that are there already) then the case would look out of proportion.  That, and then things would get a little cramped...flyers, knights and large tanks would be out of the question.

Well, today I feel like cursing GW. I thought everything for the great company project had been purchased...but alas...

Although initially hesitant, some Wulfen will be added along with another iron priest as I love that new model! I also have a spare FW rhino front armour panel so think a predator may get added. Not until everything is complete though!

there is an option to bolt the top of the case to the wall, but I haven't needed to do that.  Mine are in the garage where the pup can't get to them and kids aren't a consideration here.....yet.....

Depends on the dog and the excitability factor / training I guess ;-)
