My Grey Knight army uses the original colour scheme ( i.e. Black )

I'm completely cool with you having a black paint scheme for your Grey Knights, but I do want to point out that black was not their original color/scheme. They were only portrayed that way once, in a 3e era Index Astartes article, and that portrayal was very short lived.

Yeah I went through a phase of painting my knights a metallic purple with gold trimmings when they were daemon hunters, then I did them white, then re did them again, grey with red trim for purifiers and blue trim for regular. Now I've finally jumped on the bandwagon and made all my knights silver haha.

I only really changed my colour scheme's because I'm not a very good painter, and silver is THE easiest in my opinion. I wanted them pure white, but I didn't have the patients or skills to make them pure white AND have all the detailing.

I find that the black paint scheme is easy and produces a cool looking model

No doubt. I've got a whole army of Charcoal Grey/Black Grey Knights (see below). I was just pointing out that it wasn't the original color scheme, as you had stated.

Pool that's a nice army

Thanks man; that's actually my old full-metal 3e era Grey Knights army.  I've redone the whole thing with the newer plastics now, and would love to get rid of the old one, as the models just hang out in their case now.

I will admit that the plastic minis are cool but I do have a soft spot for the 1st 2 editions for GK minis smile.png

IMO the original metal GK Termis are in the running for the finest non-character infantry model's GW ever did. I do like the plastics over the metal for the PA guys, but the metal termis rock...
