McGibs' Bloody Beasties! (Imps and Knight on Page 3!)

The wings are from tyranid gargoyles, which are cheap as all get out and after some trimming, make really good devil wings.

Those two raptors have been knocked out if all three of my killteam campaign games so far, but they've still gone out with a bang every time. Lighting a bunch of necrons on fire then having the poor low-initiative robots slowly burn for another 3 turns before melting into the ground is glorious.

Overall, the legs scale pretty well, they're about half his height. They look particularly small here because of the weird fisheye effect my camera gives "big minis", and because the armour plates are all off. The waist was a bit tricky to figure out, and required a few odd bits, some greenstuff, and a magnet.

Awesome! At some point, think you could take a level straight-on shot so we can see how well the knight legs work with the LOS torso? As you say it seems skewed from the pics you took, and a bit out of proportion but I'd love to see it accurately.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frankly, I would be tempted to run him unbased, but if you go with the same basing as the rest of your army, perhaps bigger skeletons would be in order?

Utterly amazing -- as is all of your work! Seeing how you've magnetised all the different faceplates, you could even make a version with that Bloodthirster skull shoulder pad, couldn't you? Just sayin'...

Anyway, brilliant stuff! Khorne is pleased!

Oh duuuude.  So awesome. I love that barrelled ammo feed on his back. And the magnetized faceplates - my fave is the one with the horns.

All my likes Sir. You'd have them if I could give you more than one.

I say yes to a potential base. It'd make it even cooler.

What are you going to run it as? LoS or reg Knight?

Yeah, they're maulerfiend arms with heldrake hands. the "fist" mauler hand was a bit of a pain to remove because of the way it's molded onto the armour plates (part of the plate had to be cut away), but in the end it's not that noticable.

I started modeling him before FW released their chaos knight rules (was originally just going to run him as a come-the-apocalypse imperial knight paladin), but now he'll be run as a Khorne daemon paladin (double shot battle cannon, double stubber, D claws), who'se luckily one of the better variants (rerolls number of stomps)

I started Frankensteining together a stalk-tank soul grinder, because thanks to the new Forge Host formation, I have an excuse to make more evil stompy bug robots.

Another utterly stunning piece is taking shape -- this is getting to be quite demoralising, you know... ;)

I will say this: I would never have expected anyone to make use of that wacky skull cannon head in a way that actually made me like it, but you have somehow managed to pull it off. Stop being so awesome, dammit! :)

Haha, thanks for the praise. As always, I'm a huge fan of your worldeater blogs.

I had that stupid bloodthrone mouth thing sitting in my bit box for AGES (impulsive ebay bitz buying will be the death of me), so I'm just glad I finally found something to attach it to. I've got another grinder chassis coming in the mail so I'll be able to make soul grinder number 3 soon. I'm thinking something scorpious...
