Frater Cornelius
Those little beauties shelled out by the RWK. The wording has me confused. Does the effect affect only the models hit by the Blast or every model in unit. It says 'Every model in a unit hit by [...]'. The way I read it, it could go both ways. Even more confusing is that the wording of the Stasis Bomb is 'Any unit hit by [...]'. In that case it is clear as it gets. So, what is the general consensus on this issue? Lord Sesslec
As I understand it, it's models in that unit are reduced in toughness. So if only 1 Model in a squad of 10 is hit, ALL 10 are reduced in toughness by 1. Same goes for the stasis grenades too. Frater Cornelius
That is the way I would read it, if not for the different wording on Stasis Bomb of the Dark Talon. Epimetheus13
Agree w Lord Sesslec. Very poor wording on these rules...hope that gets fixed in May/June. ;-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301257-rad-grenades-rule-clarification/#findComment-3905452 Share on other sites
Frater Cornelius
I might check out the wording in other languages. Agree w Lord Sesslec.Very poor wording on these rules...hope that gets fixed in May/June. ;-) Don't be too hasty. The 'change' might be the removal. Look at the other marine books. They remove anything remotely interesting. Chaplain Lucifer
Affect the whole unit. You need only to hit one member. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301257-rad-grenades-rule-clarification/#findComment-3905490 Share on other sites
Frater Cornelius
Alright, that is the way then until further notice. SvenONE
Yeah I see now they worded the stasis bomb differently but the results are all the same. Every model in the unit gets treated that way. Edit: it's also worth noting that the effects are immediate. As soon as the unit is hit it reduces the toughness before the roll to wound, so against MEQs you're still wounding on 4s. Larhendiel
Also, keep in mind that you need hit, not wounding for those grenades effect to take place, however since jinking requires us to fire snap shots I do not take grenade launchers anymore, those plasma shots are too dear for me Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301257-rad-grenades-rule-clarification/#findComment-3905622 Share on other sites
Frater Cornelius
Yeah, I guess that is a case of the PFG on a Libby or make heavy use of cover given the Skilled Rider in conjunction with Dark Shroud.
