What information is there for the Space Wolves?

Very little.

BL wise there's A Thousand Sons and Prospero Burns, plus a few cameos in another few books, but I'm not 100% sure on how many and where they are.

Forge World, take a number and start waiting for Inferno with the rest of us msn-wink.gif.

One of the biggest things with 30k era though, is that the 40k Blood Claw/Grey Hunter/Long Fang progression doesn't exist in the VI Legion, if for no other reason than the Great Crusade didn't last long enough for enough of the Marines to age to Long Fang status. Instead you probably have the tine when the basic, squad level organisation of the Wolves was the most similar it ever was to their peers.

Otherwise, we know that they were one of a number of Legions (along with 18 and 20) with a specific goal in mind at creation (Trefoil Legions). That is most likely the hatchet man/executioner role (they certainly believe so, but claiming that as firm fact (rather than in universe opinion of the Wolves) is a quick way to irritating forum arguments unsure.png ). They were also probably somewhere in the mid tier of Legion size at the start of the Heresy, which appears to be somewhere in the 110-150,000 region. We also know the basic colour scheme, Grey armour, Gold highlights and a wolf's head as the legion emblem on the left shoulder pad.

Death and Defiance had a short by AD-B that had a Space Wolf watchpack give two different Legion designations, showing us a little how the Terran model related to how the Legion is now. Very good.

In a therefore about that book, I had posted what organization is mentioned in the recent Visions book. Here is that post:

I was a little off about Visions. On pg 160, it says the Fenrisians "were organized into their own distinct squads, known as Fenris Bloods and Fenris Hunters," although "they also led some squads of Terran Space Wolves (the Hunter, Claw and Long Fang squads). The officer corps and the elite Wolf Guard were drawn from the ranks of both Terrans and Fenrisians."

The only other squad type were the Wulfen Packs, unique to the 13th Great Company, which included Terrans and Fenrisians alike, with no mention on whether one was more prone than the other or not.
