Making a list inquisition and GK as allies

Hi All,

I have several questions about the idea of making an army list with a minority of inquisition and a majority of GK as allies.

1) First is it possible to create a list with the warlord from the minority faction of the list?

( ie: is it possible to create an army constituted of 30 % inquisition with an inquisition warlord and 70% with grey knight allies? or is there a restriction about the point ratio your allies cannot go above to?)

2) Then if i choose inquisition as my main faction and GK as allies do the GK still keep the Rites of teleportation special rule if they follow a NSF detachment?

To answer your questions,

1 usually only tournaments, leagues, and sticklers put a percentage on the ally ratio. In general it should never be an issue.

2 yes the nsf should be able to be used. I haven't seen anything that says you cant take the allies formation abilities for the ally, but if I remember right you cannot use a lord of war as thats supposed to be pertaining to the primary army, not the secondary. So no Draigo on that, but can still ally imperial knights as their detachment is seperate and does not use the normal ally matrix.

Thanks for the answer, It fits my list idea.

I have another question though which might a little out of subject

If i choose a inquisition HQ with a chimera dedicated transport and i choose to add this HQ in a purifier unit

Can the purifiers and the HQ be deployed in the Chimera at the start of the game?

Finally if i choose to use the Turbo with the Chimera during the shooting phase (ie move 16") Can i still use the flamers of the passengers and or their psychic power?

Interesting questions you have there. Last I knew, hqs do not take dedicateds, just the henchmen. If the hq can, then yes the unit he attachs too can start off in the chimera.

If you turbo said chimera of flaming death, yes you may still cast spells as normal and the people inside can shoot, though I believe it is as snap shots. Would need to double check the warhammer bible in the morning

Your right in the inquisition codex the dedicated transport option look like to be only available for Henchmen units

However it also look like that the Chimera is the only vehicle which is not in the dedicated transport entry

So does that mean i can deploy an Allie unit in it?

For the snap shot as my purifier will use flamers it won't be a problem. The only question is how Turbo boost is affecting the crew

Thanks for the answer, It fits my list idea.

Can the purifiers load up in the chimera, yes, they should be able to.

For your other question, the psychic phase comes before shooting phase, so that is a non-issue.

Ok so after reading more carefully i found the answer about using purifier in chimera

if the chimera move 12" none of the incinerator of the unit can be use as template weapon can't be use in snap shot

So if i use them as it is the chimera can approach during first turn but the purifier will be useful only at the second turn .

Raah too bad that inquisition don't have any drop pod.

Do you know any other armys that can deploy servo-skull on the field besides of inquisition?
