hivey
this relic seems pretty good, but there are some things im not sure on. 1: how does it work if inside a vehicle? like if a praetor was inside a rhino. would the 5" bubble extend from the vehicle, only work on the vehicle, or just not work at all?2: if the bubble extends to cover a model that would be the closest casualty, does it hit the bubble first? what if a blast scatters and hits something not covered, but the bubble is still covering the closest model to the firer? Slips
1. Unsure on how to rule it for the Vehicle. I would personally say that it is deactivated when inside a vehicle to avoid any potential headaches. 2. Its a 5" Bubble; anything under it is covered anything that isn't, isn't. So if a blast scatters far enough to no longer be hitting the void shield but still hit a unit, it wouldn't get the AV12 protection of the bubble. If the closest casualty is under the bubble its safe. If it isn't, no AV12 bubblewrap. IIRC, it says any friendly unit under the 5" marker is protected; so you could have multiple units under it if your good at unit placement. Millicant
For #1 I would suggest the Dark Angels as a precedent. A similar device provides a 3++ in a 3" bubble. FAQ ruled it does not extend from the vehicle or even protect the vehicle itself. Regarding #2 the blast scatter is irrelevant since you remove casualties from the front anyways. It only matters when the next closest model to take a wound is protected by the shield. Seems simple enough. (Obviously barrage weapons would be the exception.)
