Yoyo ninja
I bought myself an Imperial knight as an alley for my wolves and I kinda like the idea of getting a second reaper Chainsword from a bits dealer and him having two, then mounting the cannon on a shoulder or the carapace itself. I just wanted to get other peoples thoughts before I spend more money/ruin an expensive model. Also, sorry if this is the wrong place, there isn't really an imperial knight section and I value the input of fellow wolf lords over all else obviously! ;-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301425-imperial-knight-conversion/ Share on other sites
Frater Cornelius
I am going to make my own as well. He is only half assembled and a few parts of his are broken (damage on top and one shoulder pad) due to failed conversion attempts. My tip: be careful. Breaking it too much can be irreparable. Grotsmasha
As an alternative, why not pick up a 2nd cannon as well and mount both reaper chainswords underslung on the cannons? Actually, now I want to do it.... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301425-imperial-knight-conversion/#findComment-3908540 Share on other sites
Lord Blackwood
Having Built 3 of em , I reckon it depends on how much you are willing to gamble with yer investment. Ive done very light conversion work on one of mine just sticking a thunderwolf head around one of the heavy stubbers. But what your considering requires you to make a brace for the cannon would be a little more complicated , honestly I would just build it as is but it certainly can be done , the shoulderpad is a bit rough to cut into since where it rests on the frame is the very back edge so you would likely do better to make the brace on top and attach it to that. Even then the excess weight might not let it sit right since the contact point is very thin. The things are pretty expensive already tho. And you can pretty easily wreck them if you aint careful. Good Luck with whatever you choose to do. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301425-imperial-knight-conversion/#findComment-3908558 Share on other sites
Yoyo ninja
This is my concern, it's a lot of money to ruin if it goes wrong but of ot goes well it will look awesome. And I haven't seen another one with two reaper blades yet. I suppose I could see if I can build the turret mount prior to attaching it to anything.
