Jarl of Wulfen
Can an immobilized walker still pivot at the waste to shoot? I can't find the rule in the book. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301427-immobilized-walkers/ Share on other sites
Kristoff
Depends, how much are you looking to pivot? The standard 45 degrees allowed for waist swiveling when Shooting is allowed, so long as you don't move the model. But unless otherwise specified in a Special Rule, Walkers get Immobilized just like any other Vehicle. Jarl of Wulfen
I was thinking they could pivot on the spot, I might be getting it mixed with an older edition rule. I was thinking they could pivot 360 but had to stay put, like a dreadnought spinning at the waist. If it means they are stuck facing whatever way they were when immoblized, that's fine with me Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301427-immobilized-walkers/#findComment-3909601 Share on other sites
Jacinda
There was some odd wording in previous rule books because pivioting on the spot did not count as movement. That is no longer the case since that line is now followed by "however, Immobilised vehicles cannot even pivot on the spot." Walkers are vehicles; they may move like infantry but the suffer Immobilized results like any other vehicle. Squeaky
Just a quick question so if a walker was assaulted from the rear when immobilised does it still get to attack since walkers can't be flanked in combat but your saying the walker can't pivot so how does it effect combat? Seahawk
Walkers fight CC in 360 degrees like infantry. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301427-immobilized-walkers/#findComment-3923691 Share on other sites
Kristoff
Actually, no, they don't. Walkers get hit on the back if Immobilized, since they can't stop them from bombing their butt. Leonaides
walkers fight as normal in CC when immobilised. Any hits generated against them would be rolled for against the rear armour of the walker. Seahawk
They do fight in 360 still in CC, its just they suffer penalties, as mentioned. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301427-immobilized-walkers/#findComment-3924439 Share on other sites
