SyNidus
So i'm thinking of getting Valkyries as part of my Tempestus force that i'll be building. However, i'd like to keep the whole army physically small enough and compact enough to put it into a simple KR Multicase. This however presents a challenge, the Valkyrie has large swept wings. I'm not really looking for third party models, i'd like to keep it within the Citadel miniatures range.Does anyone know of any conversions which might provide a smaller Valkyrie? And if not a conversion, perhaps a way to magnetise the wings? All your thoughts are appreciated. Disciple of Caliban Sgt
Magnets are very easy on the model. You get a copy of the instructions and you can see basic places to drill out and place some small magnets at the front and back of the wing and on the fuselage. Also the wings actually "slot" into the model quite well and do a good job of keeping place. Had a friend who has done this for years with three models. He ended up Magnetizing the fourth because the wings didn't stay like the others. Hope that helps Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301496-valkyrie-conversions-compactor/#findComment-3909811 Share on other sites
scatmandoo
I have two Valkyries and I haven't magmetised yet as they are tight enough where the wings slot in. As said it is easy enough to magnetise if you need to though. CoffeeGrunt
In hindsight, I really wish I'd magnetised the wings on mine! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301496-valkyrie-conversions-compactor/#findComment-3909923 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
As mentioned the wings don't need to be glued, pinned or magnetised as they slot in and hold well especially once you've got some paint on them. That makes a huge difference to transporting them :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301496-valkyrie-conversions-compactor/#findComment-3910059 Share on other sites
