Sons of Wrath *Spoilers*

Haven't read it so not sure what you mean about "psychic khorne" (I can guess) but the bit of fluff about Khorne hating psykers and not having any never really made sense to me.

Can psykers not fall to Khorne? Does worshipping Khorne dull their powers over time until eventually they lose them completely?

Again **Major Spoilers**:

In SoW, there are a number of characters that end up being completely possessed by Khornate Daemons. References to Blood, Skulls, Kabanda, etc. make it clearly Khorne.

Two of these characters, Nuriel and Astnayax, were innately psychic as humans. Yet all three of them, to include Ronja who wasn't innately psychic as a human, manifest psychic powers when completely possessed. E.g. Ronja, who again wasn't innately psychic, suddenly displays telekinetic powers when fighting the protagonists who, in turn, refer to her as a "witch".

In table top at least, Khornate Daemons aren't psychic and furthermore can't use artifacts that grant them psychic abilities so that's a slight discrepancy.

Khornate daemons or possessed shouldn't be able to be psykers I don't think, because the daemons are more or less part of Khorne.

A Space Marine Librarian who worships Khorne and goes the whole "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD" route, while not being possessed, would be fine.

Imo anyway, I've never really read anything that is very clear on the subject.

Amit lolled onto his back, barely conscious as the shockwave from another orbital assault buffeted him. His armour was as a sheet of fractured ice, flawed by deep cracks. His organs were failing. He could feel his body pulling him into a sus-an coma. ‘No. I am not done yet.’ Amit pulled a fist-sized sphere from his belt, armed it and threw it at the daemon’s feet.

‘Foolish creature. I have already told you,’ the daemon barked, its patience gone, ‘guns and bombs cannot kill me.’

‘It is not a bomb.’

The sphere shivered. Sparks of energy arced from its surface. No. Amit read the thought in the daemon’s eyes as the device burst in a flash of white light. The shockwave threw the daemon to the floor. A web of energy formed in the air where the daemon had stood, arcing tendrils that spun out to rend reality asunder. The web crackled as it cut into the fabric of space. It spread, thickening, growing, until with a sudden jolt, it shattered. The energy web vanished in the same burst of light with which it had formed. In its place stood Grigori. Steam rose from the shoulders of the Dreadnought’s armoured sarcophagus in the same instant that the layer of hoarfrost around his legs cracked. Amit stared at Grigori. In that moment, bristling with the touch of teleportation, his old friend was a nightmare incarnate, a wrathful monster of adamantium and rage.

Furioso Dreadnought, I choose you!

Anyone willing to spill the beans?? Was a little disappointed with Flesh of Cretacia. Are Sons of Wrath and Trial by Blood any good?? I cant put my finger on it but theres just something about Smillies Flesh Tearers that rubs me the wrong way ... unsure.png

It this worth the asking price or is it that same as before, looooong pages of chainsword-porn with little plot and dialog with the typical Seth coming face to face with another astartes [literally all up in their grill] to growl like a kitten and say something "threatening", or is there actually substance to the story???

S.O.W is worth the price as an ebook for sure, the story and characters are a lot more developed then flesh of cretacia which was very action centric (good action IMHO).

If you buy sons of wrath the motivations of Amit and the flesh tearers (good name for a band) really get explained. A good part of the book deals with them starting their own chapter, being none to happy about having to leave the BA as well trying to find their own identity which dovetails into cretacia.

Ideally you would read S.O.W before cretacia however it is not essential, by the way trial by blood is kinda crappy, it has a few good moments but it is essentially a bunch of short stories.

Having said that I'm a huge smillie fan and I believe he will go a long way as you can see how he improves with every book.
