shattered no longer

I have been toying with the idea of starting a heresy force. I've always had a strong liking for the isstvaan v survivors. I plan to theme it as mainly an iron hands force with any assault troops and recon squads painted as raven guard, and any flamer squads Tec as salamanders, and here is where it gets controversial, any destroyer units painted as salamanders also.

Salamanders don't use destroyers though right? But I have this crazy idea of a bunch of bitter survivors faced with the scope of their losses turning down a darker path and taking up any and all weapons to punish those responsible.

Thoughts?

It often goes unnoticed that the Salamanders 'No Destroyer & Moritat' rule only applies to Primary Detachments. There is nothing stopping you fielding an Iron Hands force with an allied Salamander detachment which includes a Destroyer unit.

Now, with the change to non-compulsory HQ's for the Moritat, you can't use these at all as there's only 1 HQ slot in the Allied FoC. Unfortunate,  but at least you cam still do a Destroyer squad.

Unless you run dual CAD and have the iron hands as your primary Detatchment ;)
