Fire Golem
http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/News/FORGE_WORLD_BULLETIN_42.html Imperial Fist command set coming. Looks nice, but I thought it was Emperors Children with that filigree at first glance :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301569-more-imperial-fists/ Share on other sites

Adra'Melek
Weren't the Fists allowed to use the laurels due to them being awesome on terra (I forget the details :)) so ALL their commands would have them. As an aside one of the helmets in the MkIII command set also has laurels. It looks nice but not nice enough for a special character, if that makes sense. Would make a good early crusade commander IMO, switch out the shoulder pad and make a very little tweaks. Very nice Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301569-more-imperial-fists/#findComment-3911196 Share on other sites

Brother Callius
Yay, more seventh legion! Keep it coming FW. The bulletin mentioned a command set and only one mini is pictured, if that pointing guy is the standard I can't wait to see the other guy(s). It looks like 2015 is going to be a bad year financially for me... Blindhamster
damnit... i will have to buy those guys to use as blood angels, ornate armour is lovely... *shakes fist at forgeworld* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301569-more-imperial-fists/#findComment-3911228 Share on other sites
Marshal Reinhard
Command set or cunningly disguised Sigismund? Helmet matches his design on the cover of the Templar audio drama... The bulletin says "I caught sight of this awesome Command set a few days ago being worked on in the Forge World Studio." with this; "This fantastic looking Imperial Fists Command set could be in production soon." under the picture. Also, there's no scenic base for him by the looks of it (or do non primarch HH characters also get a smaller base that fits in to the larger scenic base?) That all being said, this guy actually feels very Sigismund. He's the only IF model so far to actually have a full Tabard as well Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301569-more-imperial-fists/#findComment-3911239 Share on other sites
Slips
That is all. Now the BT will finally shut up about the lack of Tabards, geez. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301569-more-imperial-fists/#findComment-3911244 Share on other sites
BFeeder
Awesome, awesome sculpt. It's got to be Sigismund, there's no way Forgeworld would put that much detail into a generic command squad set. I'm super curious as to who sculpted it, I particularly like the filigree effect on the thigh plates. m_r_parker
Awesome stuff - echo the comment that the fine detail is very similar to the Emperors Children Palatine Blades, but doesn't go against a highly ornate captain in Artificer Armour. If there isn't too much Fist / Templar iconography I can see plenty of loyalist EC players using them. I was also wondering if other legions would get specific command squads, looks like they might. It's not exactly reducing the workload that they have, especially if they have to go back to Book 1 legions (DG, EC, WE). Does this mean that Legion specific Terminator Pads (thinking the almost-random DG Cataphractii Pads) can also be in the works? Really interested to see the standard that should be accompanying this. Do we reckon they'll go blank like all the other banners, or are we going to get a sculpted Fist on it? Slips
If they release terminator pads for the Fists I might literally flip a table. I've got ~30+ terminators all built and painted... StruManChu
I like it... Personally not a huge fan of the hoity-toity filigree (I prefer a more utilitarian vibe for my Fists), but the main body sculpt with the tabard is great. The head's very reminiscent of one of the BT upgrade sprue heads. Frankly, I'd rather they just released this stuff rather than preview it. The length of time from seeing the Phalanx Warder kit in a Bulletin to when it was actually released felt like months! And, not to be bitter or anything, but I can't help but notice that this set will likely come with legs, arms and a backpack... Ramell
I think I will get two of those, one to paint up as an Imperial Fist, and one as an Ultramarine. That is simply a fantastic model. I'm super curious as to who sculpted it, I particularly like the filigree effect on the thigh plates. It says it's a command set in the article. And it's very very underwhelming if its Sigismund. Not that its a bad model, because it's awesome, but it's not Sigismund. Reyner
They could be telling porkies claiming it as a command set - if it's going into production soon his fancy pants scenic base might not be ready. Fire Golem
They could be telling porkies claiming it as a command set - if it's going into production soon his fancy pants scenic base might not be ready. They literally said 'this Imperial Fist command set could be in production soon.' I don't think they'd lie about what it is. What would be the point in that? The point in previews is to generate excitement, so if it was Sigismund they'd say. Just look at the legs in the picture, they aren't generic legs, they are part of the model itself - They'll be the same as the other command sets torso/legs 1 piece, arms, head, backpack etc. As much as I like him, I wish they would hurry up and do a generic Cataphractii command squad Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301569-more-imperial-fists/#findComment-3911301 Share on other sites
corai
It's gotta be Sigismund, there's a chain coming from the grip of the sword (black sword?). that was a world eaters thing and not common with the IF outside of His Killyness. I actually think it looks great for Sigismund, basically the spitting image of the Templar Audio Drama cover. Being facetious about that more than anything else. I'm still just a bit cut up about the Phalanx Warders and Templars requiring the extra bits... Has anyone actually emailed FW about that yet?
