KBA
Lots of Fist love! Really cool to see Legion specific sets. I'd be stoked for a RG equivalent but the RG contemptor stole all excitement for future models with its crappy Polynesian trope. Oh well, kits will be bashed. I'd rather not have RG kits than have the kits of thinly vieled Space Sharks. (and yes FW, I reject your fancy name for the Space Sharks.) Marshal Rohr
Thinly veiled space sharks made me think of a shark with a old school sci-fi fishbowl helmet and bridal veil. Emperor's Furor
With the Space Sharks they just did what they've done with the Space Wolves, give them a more sophisticated name over the more generic name. Daemon2027
To be fair, both Space Sharks, and Space a Wolfs sound like an 80's children cartoon so I can see why they did it. I quite like the look of that command kit. Would love to see more Legions getting command specific models. Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
The Space Wolves are a long standing cornerstone of 40k. The "fancy name" they got was in addition to their many titles, as befits a Chapter 10k year old. Space Sharks was an attempt to make something lame into something cool, with "meh" results. Now the Space Sharks are influencing my RG in a bad way. On topic, that model is beautiful. I almost wish I played either Fists or Templars to take advantage of it. KBA
Thinking about how much money I've spent on FW makes me laugh, followed by silence, followed by a contemplative look into the distance, followed by... more laughter Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301569-more-imperial-fists/page/3/#findComment-3911931 Share on other sites

grand_master85
Fire Golem, I'm with you there. I adore the Raven Guard Contemptor. Fire Golem
It probably comes from the fact that I've always liked the Raven Guard, and I've loved the Carcharodons since IA10, so combining them like that is just a good thing in my eyes haha. I can see why people don't like it but... The Raven Guard Contemptor is gorgeous. Glad I'm not the only one! I just wish it remained a painting preference of FW: http://s28.postimg.org/qv0qcq0bx/jls_cyclone2.jpg rather than becoming sculpt that you're forced to have (unless you're insane like me, and buy the RG contemptor along with the no-name one to swap parts around). I guess Forge World felt the RG needed a more definable theme beyond the Raven. Mistake. Fire Golem
Mistake in your opinion though. I mean, it's a valid opinion, but we don't all dislike it! KBA
Well, yeah. Everything anyone says on a topic subject to relativity is opinion. Should I put IMO next to everything I ever say as to not step on the opinions of others? Fire Golem
No, I'm just saying. I wasn't having a go or anything, sorry if it seemed like it. You do have a valid opinion like I said and I see why people don't like that direction. I just happen to. KBA
All good -- I get that when someone says something in a factually manner that one disagrees with, it's natural to speak up and voice the opposition even if it just means getting it out there. To each their own, definitely. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301569-more-imperial-fists/page/3/#findComment-3912094 Share on other sites
