Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
Bunker offers up what cover save?? It's counted as AV 14, correct?? Looks ace, love the snow addition. CatSmasher
I think you can get a 4+ on top. Inside it works like a building. I wanted this because it will add to the table terrain even if i don't use it in game. Lord Blackwood
that bunker looks amazing you never got back to me on if two dreads can fit up on top , cause id love to put a las cannon one and bjorn up there with a plasma cannnon , and stick my longfangs inside , god you really can paint well Smasher of Cats Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301613-new-terrain-and-bunker-for-my-wolves/#findComment-3912293 Share on other sites
CatSmasher
Only one fits cleanly on the larger platform, you can balance another, but that depends on how flexible you are with rules. I also got some cotton blobs with tea lights to add some flavour, i'm trying to create way to make it feel like night fighting Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301613-new-terrain-and-bunker-for-my-wolves/#findComment-3912311 Share on other sites
Lord Blackwood
It only costs as much as a TWC with a Chainsword and Stormshield , I should get one and use it against the rune priest Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301613-new-terrain-and-bunker-for-my-wolves/#findComment-3912327 Share on other sites
CatSmasher
I have been spinning my gears thinking of how to build an 1850 list that combines the bunker, plas cans, and Ulrik, with perhaps a dred or some scouts with cloaks and snipers. I'm still trying to get a handle on how to build a TWC list to counter my opponents very devastating tau list. I think a bunker with that kind of fire power could really punish the suit blobs he runs. It would also force him to DS where i wanted in order to open it up. With my luck he will bring Long strike and one shot the whole plan to dust! Spazmonkey
the cool thing with the bunker as well is you can upgrade it to have an extra access point, up to 18 inches away from the bunker, which offer all sorts of possible benifits. I thik it has 4 fire points as well. so a slightly undersized long fang unit will work well. just watch out for the building destruction rules, they can mess with your unit inside. You can also look at an upgraded void shield. for around the price of a wolf priest it can take 3 glances or pens at av 12, has a 12 inch bubble in any direction from the base of the model. so can cover more than you bunker. say the small unit of blood claws securing the objective on your table side. Roll 3 d6 at the end of your turn, on each 5 up you get back one shield assuming its taken any damage. dont forget the void shield generator (or any building that counts as occupied) also counts as an occupied building and has battlements. This makes it a scoring unit. allowing you to secure an objective without any troops. CatSmasher
void shield sounds nice, but its a delicate arms race. I don't want to force him to buy a sky shield landing pad and ruin my life Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301613-new-terrain-and-bunker-for-my-wolves/#findComment-3912883 Share on other sites

Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
How is it placed when used in your army?? Bladewolf, you do that, brother!! I may just have one myself!! Donkalleone
Well if i play a bunker it has 2 Rolles either deep in the Front or really far away the rest of the army in the 24-48 Range of the enemy. So i either gain Cover/LoS or the enemy has to move out of it way to deal with my 48" ranged ML (or 36" Snipers) in an AV14 Building. CatSmasher
So i think Two dreds do fit on the top segment, which is awesome. I want to use it right at the edge of my deployment zone, so i can get the plan can in range without worrying about them being easily killed. I also think it would be good at the back to stretch the field and protect a heavy investment in supporting fire Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301613-new-terrain-and-bunker-for-my-wolves/#findComment-3912978 Share on other sites
Spazmonkey
It is placed when you deploy your other models. Sorry Just to clarify the Void shield generator counts as scoring, I would have to double check on the bunker. There is some awesome stuff in the Stronghold assault book. Just watch out for small units with flamers. Flamers love bunkers.....
