Quixus
I am wondering where you guys get Forgeworld bits if you do not wish to buy a whole kit from forgeworld? Bitzbox does not seem have restocked in months and Bitsandkits does not even show Forgeworld stuff on their website anymore. Hrolf the Cunning
I'd say ebay, but that is a bit of a gamble... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301628-no-more-forgeworld-bits/#findComment-3912575 Share on other sites
Chaeron
There's one or two sellers on eBay, thor7128 springs to mind, who are legit. I think bitsandkits still does too. Other than that, caveat emptor. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301628-no-more-forgeworld-bits/#findComment-3912576 Share on other sites
Quixus
As I said forgeworld stuff does not even show up on the bitsandkits website. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301628-no-more-forgeworld-bits/#findComment-3912580 Share on other sites
Chaeron
Sorry, I meant the-bitz-store, but they don't appeal to have anything in either! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301628-no-more-forgeworld-bits/#findComment-3912582 Share on other sites
MagicMan
I get all my stuff from here : http://stores.ebay.co.uk/eggheadminiatures/ Great seller, no problems. Also managed to get a few bits before they were released because I think the dude visits the Forge World open days or whatever they're called, where they pre-sell a few things, so he can grab stuff for his store. m_r_parker
Difficult, I should know I've had to buy replacements often. It's those pesky shoulder pads that snap along the trim when you remove them from the wells - the Sons of Horus Reavers do this more often than I care to admit to. eBay is the easiest route. Ironically I've just put in an order to thor7128 again for some bits yesterday. Dealt with him/her numerous times, always prompt delivery. Also had good results with eggheadminiatures for replacement SoH shoulder pads. Specialist sites are a bit hit/miss. I've used http://www.bitzbox.co.uk recently for some breacher arms, and they were good for delivery but their stock levels for FW are pretty much zero at the moment. I'm assuming you're looking for something - out of interest what are you looking for? Overtly trading isn't allowed on the forum, but I've got a large bitz-box of FW pieces I've collected over the years, would be happy to help out if it's a bit I've got. ShinyRhino
I've had megabitzshop.com recommended to me a few times. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301628-no-more-forgeworld-bits/#findComment-3912726 Share on other sites
Quixus
I've had megabitzshop.com recommended to me a few times.Interesting, they're even in Germany. Unfortunately they don't have any Cataphractii bits. I was thinking about building a non-wolfy Arjac (i.e marine in TDA with TH/SS), so a special suit and other gear (TH and SS form the Terminator Weapons Set) would be fitting, n'est-ce pas? Tyrannicide
So, all of you are the eBayers snatching up the bits before I can pull the trigger. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301628-no-more-forgeworld-bits/#findComment-3914680 Share on other sites
marine7312000
I've bought stuff from both egghead and thor7128 on ebay. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301628-no-more-forgeworld-bits/#findComment-3916533 Share on other sites
Aqui
I read on the bitzbox site (the owners questionaire analysis) that the likelihood of FW bitz being sold on the site is quite high. I did get the FW Mark VI bitz for one Marine a while ago. The site just needs to restock more often across the board. Noctem Cultor
Its always going to be hit and miss for FW bits, ive noticed many bit sites seem to struggle to maintain bits. Id recommend taking a chance on ebay if possible just as I find it more likely if your looking for a certain bit for someone to be selling it. Chaeron
The other option others have hinted at in past is buying the kit yourself, taking what you need - and selling on thereafter. People always want specific bits - so you'll probably make your money back and more.
