hendrik
looking good there! are you planning on adding decals to your repainted tanks as well? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301656-61st-daltarn-forge-guards/#findComment-3913095 Share on other sites
Ldorte
Not a huge fan of decals normally, but some of them could do with something to break up the space so perhaps. WarriorFish
Transfers are easy to do, easier still in bulk so I'd consider it :) You have a good collection with many tanks so going the extra mile will be worth it :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301656-61st-daltarn-forge-guards/#findComment-3913195 Share on other sites
librisrouge
You are my kind of soldier sir, immediately filling out your regimental fluff with pictures of tanks. Bold statement sir, bold. All kidding aside, I need to paint more myself. I own a vast collection of guard now (my wife made me get it all out and it takes up almost a whole gaming table) but I have very, very little of it painted (just two Executioners honestly.) WarriorFish
Not sure what you mean libris, I looked at the picture and thought "that's a good number of infantry, but it needs more tanks..." You definitely need to paint more, but who doesn't? We've seen the tank scheme quite a bit, so I think we're due some close ups of the troopers to balance it out ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301656-61st-daltarn-forge-guards/#findComment-3913224 Share on other sites
Ldorte
Yeah all the infantry pics from the ETL were pretty terrible so i'll grab some new ones tomorrow Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301656-61st-daltarn-forge-guards/#findComment-3913320 Share on other sites

Ldorte
Not really had anything to add to my guard for a while but I have returned with a pile of 2 chimeras, 1 hydra and a valkyrie all in need of building! Oh and this http://i.imgur.com/EgTAnlv.jpg?1 I've wanted something from forgeworld for ages and as me and a friend are attending the "I am Alpharius" event at Warhammer World in april I decided we could do with something unusual in our doubles army :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301656-61st-daltarn-forge-guards/#findComment-4319618 Share on other sites

Marshal Argos
ahhh, a trusty old Malcador. I do love those models and really enjoy getting mine out on the tabletop. P3AKHOUR
Cant wait to see the Malcador painted up, such a cool model, the defender variant has transport capacity right?. Sigh, I wish we didn't have to pay $50 postage to order things from forgeworld here in Aus. Sigh, I wish we didn't have to pay $50 postage to order things from forgeworld here in Aus. It's a very cool model, nothing else like it on either fw or gw really. Unfortunately the defender doesn't have a transport capacity :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301656-61st-daltarn-forge-guards/#findComment-4328988 Share on other sites
Ldorte
Also just realised I never posted the final image of my other Baneblade in this thread, I'm hoping to do the Malcador in a similar theme. I've made a little bit of progress on the Malcador, the base coat and grey coat are both done ready for me to plough through with the details during the week! http://i.imgur.com/CUlzjJc.jpg?1 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301656-61st-daltarn-forge-guards/#findComment-4328991 Share on other sites
Marshal Argos
Now that is what I call field repairs. I don't think the AdMech would be to happy about the repairs on the side though, they look a little half-hazard if you ask me, and their not even symmetric! The weathering look great, may I ask how did you do the gunfire damage? Ldorte
Cheers guys. @our_baz - Tank track wise dark brown, with a lighter brown down the middle. Alternatively Silver > dry brushed dark brown > light brown down middle. The Mad Hermit
I'm not normally a fan of such heavy weathering/aging but you've done it really, really well. I really like the Malcador, as I haven't seen many of those. Especially ones that are as well painted.
