primalexile
List is at the bottom updated to reflect 1850 points instead of 2k. My meta is in flux and the games look like they are lowering to 1850. Balthamal
Ok couple of things I'd change here. Firstly the Fire Raptor or Sicaran has to go. Using Terror Assault restricts you to 1 Heavy Support choice Give another of the Terror Squads Volkites since you can shoot and charge with them. Terror Squads are pretty good in combat providing you can get them to thin out the numbers of the enemy unit before getting there to get the +1 to wound. Combining that with Preferred Enemy: Infantry is quite tasty. Give the other Mortis Lascannons or the very least a Missile Launcher as well. This list is light on heavy firepower and having run Terror Assault myself know how annoying it is when the melta you've scattered about runs into armoured ceramite. Drop the Cataphractii on the Praetor if you're not running Terminators. He can't infiltrate with the Terror Squads and he's got nothing to carry him so he'll be a bullet magnet as he stomps 6" per turn. Give him a jump pack and run him with the Night Raptors if you're going to kit him out like a beatstick. Another option would be to put him on a bike/jetbike and run him with outriders or skyhunters Hope this helps :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301742-night-lords-2000-points/#findComment-3914993 Share on other sites
primalexile
That helps a lot! I am the only 30k army user in my group so I am aiming to have good games against 40k armies, a lot of Space Marine variants, Nids, Tau. I will grab my book and redo points when I get home. I am going to keep the Fire Raptor as I feel it is a much better piece of hardware than the Sicarian. Jump Pack Praetor with the raptors is a great idea! I am not a huge fan of bikes/jetbikes, so jump packing it is :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301742-night-lords-2000-points/#findComment-3915446 Share on other sites
Balthamal
To be honest a Terror Assault list will struggle against Tau given the stupid amount of shooting that they can bring to bear and also how they can get blacksun filters to negate the Night Fighting Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/301742-night-lords-2000-points/#findComment-3915474 Share on other sites

primalexile
I am going to stick with 1850 points instead of 2k for now while I learn Night Lords and my local meta. Praetor - Jump Pack, Trophies, Paragon Blade, Iron Halo 170 Terror Squad x10 - Chainglave, AA, Meltabombs, All with Boltguns - 245 Terror Squad x10 - Chainglave, AA, Meltabombs, All with Volkite Chargers - 275 Terror Squad x10 - Chainglave, AA, Meltabombs, All with Volkite Chargers - 275 Night Raptors x10 - AA, Chainglaves x4 (incl Sgt) - 305 Contemptor Mortis - 2x TLLC - 185 Contemptor Mortis - 2x TLLC - 185 Fire Raptor - Reaper Autocannon - 210 My thoughts on this are Praetor joins the Raptors to take get into CC ASAP. Terror Squads infiltrate and do what they do do best ;) , Mortis ping off as much Heavy Armor from far away while the Fire Raptor reigns down hell on everything.
