Hello again all;

havent been very active on here since last years ETL. been doing alot of painting as a couple of brothers in Canada so they have been taking up much of my time as well as opening a Bakery with the wife and daughter. Soon I will be opening another game store. last year I painted a total 38,754 pts (to include the ETL). This year, who knows what it will bring. 

 

my intent with the thread is to catalog and share what i working on for the year and see what I can do. The ETL is far in the future, but we will see what that brings this year. right now I have a few WIPS and some completed units as well. I will post the completed units Ive finished this year and then the WIPs as they happen. I hope everyone enjoys. Keep in mind when commenting, I do commission work, so for those commission pieces, I paint to the standard and style as requested by the client. I will only share B&C approved pictures, but will make written note of any models not approved for pics. (if that is ok with the mods). so my next post will be pics.

Took the day off yesterday since I had to work. Today got a bit done. Finished my 25th anniversary model.

Been a few days since an update. Had a bit going on so not too much painting, but finishes the 3 attack bikes, so I'll get pics taken and up tomorrow. I also finished te fw open day dkok quartermaster. That was a joy to paint.

 

In the past week I received a box from the UK from my former commission painter. He quit painting so never finishes the job we had going. I sent him over 7,000 base points of tau to paint and last year my warhound titan (which he was painting pro bono for me). The box was completely destroyed. No padding at all and every model was in gallon zip top bags, which were used as passing for the titan. The titan was broke at every joint, but I have been able to rebuild it. I wasn't happy as I had to throw away over $2,000 in models, but it is not the fault of my friend. He claimed he boxed and padded it differently, and we believe customs got ahold of it looking for something.

 

So now I have this to work with, as well as finish off the white scars and space wolves. Also picked up several more commissions.

1) a grey knight/dark Angels comversion army (36 models)

2) orks - bikes, coptas, cans, deff dreads and 2 gorkanoughts (77 models)

3) a world eaters force (including the 30k Angron and khârn) (24 models)

 

Lastly I was contacted by a film studio, or at least the miniature sculptors who make the models for the movies, who would like me to do some painting for them. If it goes well, then that model (an some in the future) will be in some Hollywood movies.

...Wow, really :cuss customs if they pull that stuff. "Oh lets just inspect this package!" "Hmm its full of padding and tiny Miniatures but theres nothing amiss here, might as well send it on its way.."  "oh but dont bother placing the padding back in, we're not getting paid enough to do that."

 

Either way, good luck with that job! If you're not subsequently under an NDA and were allowed to take some pictures, seeing them would be cool!

 

 

...I still have literally no idea how you can afford (let alone store) all these minis...
