Grav centurions in a sw fast attack pod.....

What Immer used in his TWC list consisted of the following:

Tigurious in Divination for his broken Special rulez (Reroll Reserves, Psychick powers (Cast and choosing) and Rerolls to hit when Prescience fails) + Chapter tactics

3 Devastor Centurious with 3 Gravweapons and Omniscopes (+ Rockets?)

These are given a Pod from the SW and come round 1 in. Nasty Rerolls to hit garantied with rerolls to wound and Splitfire on evry single one.

Potent but costly... i think the setup costs around 500points with troop tax.

I  dont run tiggy either  because my allied detachment is a lot of white scars , though they were surprisingly effective able to be in range and fire un touched from the turn they come down  and with split fire on the sargent.

Grav Cents eat Wraith-anything for breakfast, even before they break out the waffles. They can also take out 1-2 Wave Serpents a turn (with split fire) due to them only doing glances. However, you need Ignore Cover from a psyker for that to work, mostly Tiggy. One of the few times I actually roll on Divination as opposed to Telepathy.

Excellent!! My friend just sent me a picture of a WraithKnight, with some derogatory anti-Space Wolves text below....

Will be nice to find a way to reliably toast his new big unit.....

Immer... Ever thought to change your name to Wolf Priest Immersturm?? Your tactical knowledge and guidance is really good.

I haven't. But since when are Wolf Priests supposed to be tactically adept? I think of them more as inspirational figures as opposed to tacticians.

Well you are helping coach this rowdy Blood Claw in the ways of not getting his head blown off.

I am a modeller/ painter way more than a gamer, and can find the codex a little intimidating and confusing at times, so guidance and tips are always a welcoming thing for me. I get to get 4-6 timess a year if I am lucky and have still to take the new SW codex out for a spin, ending my non-winning streak would be great biggrin.png

I laugh at Centurion Star. It just does not affect my army. They need 6s to wound me( as I have Fenrisian Wolves in numbers equal to or greater than any other model in the wolfstar.) and then after making some 3++ saves, the wolves make short work of the Centurions and anything else in charging range.

Well, in that case.. I'll just shoot their in-built Hurrican Bolters ;)

Do not underestimate Cents. They may not be the be-all end-all, but they are close to mandatory for high end SM play for a reason.

This just makes no sence, because why bring more wolves then thunder wolves then average toughness goes down and makes easier to wound. Heck if anything this makes this unit an even better target for centuions, I would land next to you shoot my hurricane bolters, and mow down your lower tougHess unit and negate any armour saves by destroying little wolves, then I would shoot my grav at you and watch the easy wounds roll on in. Heck please play this against me at a tournament.

cant grav centurions shoot both their grav guns and grav amps as well as their hurricane bolters due to the decimator protocols special rule

Indeed they can. Given the new 7ed shooting rules, you can even decide which one you shoot first, which is awesome when you want to kill chaff before you let lose the Grav.

It makes perfect sense. The average toughness is still 5 due to mixed armor in the unit, models with 2+. 3+, 4+ are all T5, only the Fenrisian Wolves are T4 and they are outnumbered by T5 models. But there are as many or more Fenrisian Wolves as there models with 2+, 3+, or 4+ armor saves. The unit still has model with 2+ armor and 3++ saves on the perimeter of the unit and it only has to last one turn of shooting and then the Centurions are dead.

Unless we are talking about a Draigo-Cent-Star, in which case I wouldn't count on it. I mean, I would think thrice, maybe even four times before charging Draigo with my TWC. He eats multi-wound models for... not even breakfast, more like those snacks you take in between.
