veneratedaniel Posted January 15, 2015 Share Posted January 15, 2015 So I have a force that is deep striking at 1500 points, and have 5 pods total, the question I'm faced with is, do I have 2 units of bikes with 2 grav and a combi grav with no extra bikes, or do I remove a bike unit and substitute it with a scout bike squad? This will give me a locator beacon which will give me pin point accuracy for the pods, as they will have infiltrate and scout, and with the locator beacon spreading out 6 inches, but the down fall is, they are not as good at shooting, they will have the grenade launchers but at the cost of 6 grav shots a turn and 9 with the turn the combi unloads, they are a fair bit more fragile with only having a 4+ save So any one have any luck with scout bikes before? Exile Noctis Posted January 15, 2015 Share Posted January 15, 2015 No experience with scout bikers yet but I am tempted to implement them with a BA/GK list. Turn 1 deep strike would be brutal with GK as well as podding with BA. - Only issue you may have is placement, you don't want them getting shot to pieces before you're able to drop your pods.
