Karack Blackstone
Just an idea generating thread, considering us Vlka seem to love making things outside the box: Wulfen lost: Blood Angels, with SW Colors (Especially Death Company) Vikti Runaljod: Grey Knights, or, SW PA and TDA with Runes carved into them Stalwarts: Imperial Fists (Especially TH & SS using TDA models, wolfed up) Just the three I can get to now; more are definitely welcome! Vash113
I field a small Blood Angel detachment for my wolves using the old 13th Company Wulfen models as Death Company. I also use Imperial Guard as Skaerls. I'd love to see an evergrowing list of models we can do counts as for, especially the ones that drive us to come up with more! BlodVargarna
I want to convert up awesome sisters of battle seraphim as "Valkyries" and maybe some SOBs as "Shield maidens". Karack Blackstone
My head hurts. I'm still recovering from green, blue, red, and purple Space Wolves. I personally figure that the models in question would primarily be either SW models clearly indicated as the force by bits and features, or just their minis in SW Colors. However, to each their own; I don't know how green, red and purple SW's would work myself, but apparently someone else just might! I want to convert up awesome sisters of battle seraphim as "Valkyries" and maybe some SOBs as "Shield maidens". Ah, good idea, although I'd add some BA wings, perhaps. Still, great ideas all around. Edit: My Iron Wolves. They aren't even based on the SW codex More fluff inc soon Sounds very interesting; I look forward to this considering your recent rethink of how you plan to approach the Vlka! Frater Cornelius
Next update will be Story Two. After that I can present the first few minis. Stay tuned ;) What I want to say with that, let your imagination run wild. You are not limited to one book as SW. As long as you represent the models in a manner that it fits alternative rules but still has a wolfy look, you can get anything you want. SW are a flexible force ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302089-space-wolves-counts-as-getting-inventive-with-other-forces/#findComment-3921973 Share on other sites

Valerian
Well, this one includes 'counts-as' units from Space Wolves (obviously), as well as Grey Knights, Blood Angels, and Space Marines. Yoyo ninja
I thought about representing the Wulfen with the Chaos Space Marine codex. would need a lot of work to make you marines look all wolfy like they had surcome to the effects of the canis helix but I think it would be worth it. Yoyo ninja
I have chaos marines (Ahriman, a second Sorcerer, a unit of thousand sons, blob squad of cultests [spire guard], then the standards marines and hellturky and bikes and stuff like that) as well as wolves. I have more luck with the chaos dex if I'm honest. Rune Priest Ridcully
Fair, I've just returned to the fang after deciding to retire my Thousand sons for a bti due to the sheer uphill struggle with the Chasos codex against most codecci and the not even a chance against even casual eldar or tau (I never used hellturkeys). Maybe use Iron hands rules to represent the ironwolf's company? Yoyo ninja
my usualy opponents are Eldar and dark Eldar, I have beat them more with my chaos force than my SW, I think the turkey of doom is vital, it graces he battle field most times I bring my fallen brethren. That and a cultist blob squad with auto guns, it's just awesome, chucking 65 dice at close range stops anything in its tracks!haha. And it draws fire from my actually good units. But back to the topic. My thought behind the C:CSM represent the lost 13th company is things like the brothers that have fully succumb to their baser instincts would be represented by spawn rules and big wearwolf models to represent them. Also having been lost in the warp the rune priests would have become more powerful as they where required to use their powers more and more to defend themselves so you take sorcerers at ML3 as rune priests. That sort of thing really. Iron hands would be good for iron wolves. Ulrik_Ironfist
Edit: Kaerls: The Guard of the Fang I'm unfamiliar with the function of the Vikti Runaljod and the Stalwarts. I did have the thought to kitbash a box of TDAWG and TDAGK, to make some relic terminators along with some greenstuff to make pelts out of the tabbards. I also wanted to add a detachment of Tempestas Scions as what I have termed Vaeringjar which I guess would be similar to the (s)kaerls. Would stalwarts essentially be like Arjac's shieldbrothers? Njal in TDA, zero to (x) more RP's in TDA, two packs (minimum) of GK TDA Vikti Runaljod to flavor and choice.
