The_Chaplain
Dear PCA, Can anyone provide the diameter measurement for the circular base of a thunderfire cannon as well as the circular mounting on a rapier chassis? I'm wondering if that big honkin' cannon couldn't be mounted on a much nicer looking set of tracks. Lucien Eilam
The Thunderfire cannon is the same mounting as the Razorback/Predator/Whirlwind top plate. I'm not sure what you mean about the Rapier. The gun on that is fixed forward. Stercus
Now if the thunderfire is mounted the same way as a razorback turret, I may be able to mock up an alternative rapier without paying forgeworld money for one... Might be fun. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302137-diameter-question/#findComment-3923299 Share on other sites

Thanks for the comparison to the razorback plate-- that will be a comfortable frame of reference.
