Frater Cornelius
Sicaran Battle Tanks are your bestest bet to take out a skimmer per turn, as is the Typhon Heavy Siege Tank. I would totally play 3 Sicarans + Typhon. Next thing is Tiggy + Grav Cents in pod. Tiggy rolls on Divination to get Perfect Timing (roll and re-roll every dice until you get it, chances are very good that you do). Then land 24" away in cover and always shoot two skimmers per turn. Even without perfect timing you still force jink on two skimmers per turn. Quad Heavy Bolter Rapiers. They spew out enough HB shots to reliably threaten AV10 and AV11. Drop pod Tacticals and Grey Hunters are solid. Thrown Krak Grenades, Plasmas or Meltas and sometimes Bolters can take out most of his skimmers. Pods get them close to the front. Finally, some TWC and a very tanky Lord up front never hurt. You want to keep them very cheap though, because there will be plenty S7+ and Poison shots. To sum it up: Forgeworld - As many Sicarans as possible, Typhon Heavy Siege Tank, if you can not get full three Sicarans HB Rapiers are solid, too. Allies - Tiggy + Cents, Tacs in Pods (Ultramarines are yout best bet). SW - Drop Pod GH, Tanky Lord (2+/3++ on Thunderwolf. I recommend Krakenboner), 4-5 TWC in his unit with one melee weapon and possibly two shields, but keep it cheap. Stormwolf is also an option, but everything above has higher priority. Tell me what units you will be able to bring, then I will be able to tell you what your Battle Plan should be. Guest loganwolf
Have access to around 8000 points if wolves. Usually run 7 drop pods consisting of tunderstrike formation. Murderfang. 2 Grey hunter squads flamer/combiflamer with incinerator inquisitors in squad. Space marine scouts. Space marine centurions. 2 space marine storm talons. I to came up with tiggy running perfect timing. Think i drop murderfang. Possibly take some hyperios missile launchers? Do i stick with the storm talons or run a different flyer? Storm raven or storm wolf. Land speeders? Dont have sicarians or a typhoon. Opponents list is 3 squads of 3 hornets with pulse lasers in each. So 36 str8 ap2 shots in total. 4 wave serpents with dire avengers and then some jet bikes. Frater Cornelius
If you do not have Sicarans or Typhon, then you indeed need Pods. Forget Murderface, he is too slow. You indeed want Tiggy + Cents in pod, Thunderstrike and GH pods (and a tac pod, combat squad, as SM troops) and a Stormtalon. You tactic is to shoot force as many jinks as you can. When a skimmer jinks, ignore it and move on to the next one. When it jinks, it is little to no threat anymore. That way you can control his output. Also, make sure to land pods on objectives when possible to deny them to him. That way you can control objectives and minimize his output by forcing jinks across the board. Guest loganwolf
That was my thinking. I think that between the centurions and the thunderstrike i should take out atleast 6 of the hornets. Question is to focus on the wave serpents or the hornets. Do i take 1. 2 or no storm talons.... Frater Cornelius
SM are allies, unless you want two Troops. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302154-sw-vs-dark-eldereldar/#findComment-3923659 Share on other sites

Frater Cornelius
In which case you need to see what you can get in. I would prioritize pods over Talons.
