Frater Cornelius
http://1d4chan.org/images/2/2d/AwesomeDreadKnight.jpg Well, more precisely: what is the correct order of painting those images on the armour plates? Do you do the shades first and the black outline last or do you start with the outline and then do the depth effect? Thanks for any input ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302263-how-do-you-paint-this/ Share on other sites
Gurth
There is no such thing as a “correct” order for painting anything — or to put that another way, whatever works for getting the effect you’re after, is the correct order. For effects like that, though, you’re looking at basically traditional painting techniques instead of model-painting techniques, or at the techniques used for painting flat figures. If you ask me, your best move would probably be to read up on the latter — doing a web search for “flat figure painting” is likely to give you plenty of reading material. Frater Cornelius
Thanks bud. I'll have a look. Why do I have the feeling that I will need a magnifying glass if I plan to replicate that...
