awfulawful
Toying with some ideas for low model count lists. Any comments are welcome and appreciated. Legiones Astartes (Imperial Fists) Pride of the Legion Praetor - Cataphractii armor, Paragon blade, Storm Shield 165 points Legion Terminator Squad (Tartaros) Combi-bolter, Power axe (sergeant) Storm shield, Power fist Combi-bolter, Power fist Combi-bolter, Chain fist Heavy flamer, Power fist Land Raider Phobos with armored ceramite 495 points Legion Terminator Squad (Tartaros) Combi-bolter, Power sword (sergeant) Storm shield, Power fist Combi-bolter, Power fist Combi-bolter, Chain fist Heavy flamer, Power fist Land Raider Phobos with armored ceramite 495 points Legion Terminator Squad (Cataphractii) Storm shield, Power axe (sergeant) Storm shield, Power axe Storm shield, Power axe Storm shield, Chain fist Autocannon, Power fist 245 points Legion Terminator Squad (Cataphractii) Storm shield, Power axe (sergeant) Storm shield, Power axe Storm shield, Power axe Storm shield, Chain fist Autocannon, Power fist 245 points Legion Terminator Squad (Cataphractii) Storm shield, Power axe (sergeant) Storm shield, Power axe Storm shield, Power axe Storm shield, Chain fist Autocannon, Power fist 245 points Legion Terminator Squad (Cataphractii) Combi-bolter, Power axe (sergeant) Combi-bolter, Power axe Combi-bolter, Power axe Combi-bolter, Power axe Combi-bolter, Power fist Combi-bolter, Power fist Combi-bolter, Thunder hammer Combi-bolter, Thunder hammer Combi-bolter, Chain fist Combi-bolter, Chain fist Spartan Tank with armored ceramite and flare shield 715 points Contemptor-Mortis Dreadnought Two twin-linked autocannons 175 points Contemptor-Mortis Dreadnought Two twin-linked lascannons 215 points Fire Raptor Gunship Autocannon battery Armored ceramite 230 points 2,980 points The Praetor rides in the Spartan, but doesn't need to stay with the large squad because they already have plenty of bodies. The two Tartaros squads use their Land Raiders to close as quickly as possible. The two small Cataphractii squads walk and look for opportunities to use their autocannons advantageously. The Dreadnoughts stay in the back, hopefully in cover, to provide anti-air fire and ground fire support. The Fire Raptor flies around and shoots things because that's what Fire Raptors do. 1ncarnadine
I'd have Cataphractii in the transports over the Tartaros due to them being slower. Also maybe merge the ground pounding squads to avoid some unit taxes, and drop the shields on those squads for more bolters. They already have autocannons, might as well have the rest of the squad shooting instead of just waving shields around. The shield terminators should probably be the ones in the Spartan. Also maybe get the assault vehicle upgrade for the Spartan. Phalanx Warder
This list is certanaly tougher that woodpecker lips but I would suggest adding deep strike to the ground pounders to get them closer with out getting shot off of the table Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302292-imperial-fists-all-the-terminators/#findComment-3933479 Share on other sites

On topic: I'll agree with the Other two: Merge any squad not in a 10 Capacity Transport to save on some unit taxes. At this point, I'd also go for the new Deredeo Dreadnought as a Firebase Platform over Contemptor-Mortis' due to their higher output. I'd use the Cataphractii Terminators as the Shooty Footslogging force due to they 4++ over Tartaros' 5++ That said, I'd keep them cheap. So Combi-Bolters(weapons if you really want) and Reaper Auto Cannons. No Power Fists except maybe on the Sarge. Keep em cheap. That Giant Shooty Cataphractii Squad in the Spartan? Thats wasted Shooting right there. I'd give them 8 Storm Shields, 2 Heavy Flamers, 2 TH, 2 Chain Fists the rest Axes. Tartaros I'd properly gear up for CC: Thunderhammers, Chain Fists, Power Axes and Storm Shields on (pretty much) everyone. Special Weapons I'd recommend for these sqauds would be Plasma Blasters / Heavy Flamers. Either give a squad ALL Storm Shields or not at all, imo. I'd cut back on the Power Fists too. Most enemies you'll be sending these boys at will be 1W models. Sure, if they have FNP from an Apothecary it makes killing them harder but, you save enough points by cutting back on fists to put more terminators into the squads; they'll serve you better in the long run by increasing the squads damage output. If you dont give them Transports you HAVE to give them Teleportation Transponders so they at least get the option to Deep Strike for added mobility. Also: why not just be a giant pain and give a Storm Shield squad a Primus Medicae for FNP? I'd revise the list to: HQ: Preator: Tartaros, PB, Storm Shield Teleportation Transponder (in the even that you want him to Deepstrike > Starting in a transport) Primus Medicae: Tartaros, Storm Shield, Sol Glove (gains +1 Attack due to the Needle Pistol and the glove not being Specialist Weapon!) Teleportation Transponder (as above) Total: ~250 Points Troops: Tartaros Terminator Squad: 10men, 2 Heavy Flamers, 8 Storm Shields, 2TH, 2CF -Spartan: Uber-Gubbins Tartaros Terminators: 10men, 2 Plasma Blasters/Heavy Flamers, 8 Storm Shields, 2TH, 2CF -Spartan: Uber Gubbins Attach HQ's to either squad Cataphractii Terminator Squad: 10 men, 2 Reaper Assault Cannons, 8 Combi-Bolters/Weapons, Power Weapons to taste, Teleportation Transponders (contingency) Cataphractii Terminator Squad: 10men, 2 Reaper Assault Cannons, 8 Combi-Bolters/Weapons, Power Weapons to taste, Teleportation Transponders (contingency) Heavy Support: Deredeo Dreadnough: Anvillus Autocannon Battery, Aiolos Missile Battery, Armored Ceramite (240 points, iirc) Deredeo Dreadnough: Anvillus Autocannon Battery, Aiolos Missile Battery, Armored Ceramite Legion Fire Raptor Gunship: Reaper Autocannon Batteries. ...havent totaled up the points but it should be pretty close to 3k or a bit below. You'll still have 42 Terminators in the list. My bad Edit: I guess you could just use a grenade harness for the same points, one-use and all but oh well. I also somehow, in the back of my head, thought the LR Proteus and Spartan needed this upgrade to be counted as an assault vehicle and I'm finding I have no basis whatsoever for thinking this, period. Not sure where I glitched out there That being said, the Slipstreams IF response I expected a week ago hits on all the right notes. One thing though: Cataphractii Terminator Squad: 10 men, 2 Reaper Assault Cannons, 8 Combi-Bolters/Weapons, Power Weapons to taste, Teleportation Transponders (contingency) Cataphractii Terminator Squad: 10men, 2 Reaper Assault Cannons, 8 Combi-Bolters/Weapons, Power Weapons to taste, Teleportation Transponders (contingency) Are you recommending the prototype Iliastus Assault Cannons or Reaper Autocannons? I feel like if you typed "reaper" you meant the latter, but either would be pretty alright to be honest. The assault cannons can jam on a pretty rare chance but still seem mostly beastly. Slips
I havent really ever thought of the illastus, really. Maybe because the power game in me subconciously diminishes its value due to the jammin effect... That said, it is a pretty good choice especially on footslog terminators; just pray to the dice gods... Thats why I mostly recommend the Reaper AC.
