A Tale of Betrayal and Unholy Alliances in the Age of Darkness

This year, I'm going to expand upon them, along with giving them plenty of allies to kill Loyalist scum.

 

I've got plenty of bitz to work with, so it should be a fun trip!

 

EDIT: Also, this decently sized order was just placed.

 

The DATA REDACTED should be fun to build and paint.

Progress has been slow, thanks to a nice bout of flu, but I've got some things to show off.

Second, we have Lor-...erm, Preacher Knight. I'm not sure what I want to do for details. I know the aquila and and the book on the pauldrons will be gold, but for the leg detail and the like, I don't know if I want to go gunmetal silver, or brass.

Also, I feel that I need to apologize to the B&C Community, especially those that followed my other thread, the Bonds of Brotherhood.

 

I was going through the BoB thread, and realized that I had a fairly strong support base there, but my hooby-fu gave out as soon as I started dating my girlfriend. All the way up until late April last year, I was going pretty strong, especially with the early Word Bearers.

Since then, it's felt as if I have no focus, going from one project to another, without ever finishing one. Right now, I have so many unfinished projects (litterally) on my desk, it's not even funny. Here's the Librarian I'm painiting for March of Legions, here's a pair of Knight Paladin legs, partially painted, here's some Knight crew models, here's some Heresy Dark Angels waiting primer, and hey, there's even a random Dark Elf sitting here too.

I seriously wish I could get my motivation back, going back through the BoB thread brought back some really good memories, one of my favorite hobby sessions.

 

Sorry to bother you guys with that, I just wanted to get it off my chest.

Do you, man, do you. We as a forum are here to support our members, usually that is through hobby sounding boards and advice, but sometimes we branch out. Also, I think we have all experienced breaks from the hobby in the past, so I wouldn't be too harsh on yourself. Occasionally some motivational/ motivation advice threads start up in the amicus, so I would suggest if you want some encouragment to let people know there, as it will get the widest audience of helpful people. And if you just need a break, go for it, we all do sometimes.

"DIE TRAITORS!" Captain Felix Viteri cried as he ignited his jump pack. His glaive was gripped tightly in both hands as his pack carried him towards the oncoming mixed mob of Iron Warriors and World Eaters. "By my Father's Blood, I shall smite thee, heathenous dogs!"

Viteri slammed into the Traitor horde, his glaive never stopping, always moving in arcs and stabs. There, an arm from a World Eater; there, a leg from an Iron Warrior; bolters cleaved in two, chainaxes sundered. Viteri was akin to a god of war, bolt rounds impacting on his artificer warplate, a gift from Sanguinius himself, doing nothing more than scratching the crimson paint. Chainaxes dug shallow furrows, but were no more effective. Viteri laughed maniacally, giving in to the Thirst. Invincible. Utterly untouchable.

 The Fist died inelegantly, and in much pain, his throat cut out by the adamantium teeth of the chainglaive. Marek Vanya could taste blood in the air, suddenly glad he had lost his helm somewhere in the fighting.

A lone golden-armoured figure stalked towards him. The stupid breacher captain. Again. Doesn't he know to give up? Marek thought.

Captain Raphael Volnir, Shield-Centurion of the VII, stared across the rampart at the midnight-clad killer before him. The murderous fiend had several yellow armoured warriors at his feet, a bloody chainglaive gripped in a crimson fist. The VIII Legion captain regarded him contemptuously, not bothering to hide the smirk on his face.

"You? They sent you to fight me?" The murderer, Marek Vanya, asked.

"No, I was not sent to fight you. I was sent to kill you," Volnir responded.

"Ha! What a pathetic jest! Three times we've fought, three times I've beaten you."

"Three times you have failed to kill me. We of the VII are hard to kill."

Marek Vanya's only response to this was to issue a low growl, and shake the blood from his chainglaive, and bring it up in a mock salute.

Raphael readied his own glaive, igniting the power source. His shield he tossed to the side. This was a duel, not a battle.

Marek Vanya charged, a thunderous whirlwind of adamantium teeth and midnight ceramite. Raphael stood, stoically, and prepared for the onslaught.

No progress update, haven't done much the past few days, but I do have this.

I use Flickr, I haven't had any problems with it.  1TB of storage is free, so unless your uploading super huge HD quality files to it, effectively thousands of photos (some of the pictures my phone takes can get to 7 or 8 mbs, at HD quality, still thousands of photos).  The only qualification they require is that you have a Yahoo email, and all of your photo posts have to have a Flickr link attached to them, but if you copy & past the bbc coding they provide for your image, it will automatically include the link.

 

B&C also has a spot for you to hose some images as part of your profile.

A few more touch-ups, seal coat, and basing, and we're good to go. I definitely need a new replacement of auric armour gold though, that stuff is :cuss

 

 

I need suggesttions on a name for these guys. They're going to be a Company in the IX Legion, eventually becoming a 2nd Founding Successor.
