pathatrick
Still working on the weathering, crew, and behind the turrets. I like the new color scheme, unfortunately that means repainting my tank battalion. http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c128/pathatrick/20150120_002414_zps9c94fb0d.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302315-wyvern-wip/ Share on other sites

hendrik
looking good! is there a reason you're weathering first, before finishing all details? I've always understood to do weathering in the last stage, so as to weather the details as well Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302315-wyvern-wip/#findComment-3926417 Share on other sites
CyderPirate
That's some damned fine weathering! Cool paint-scheme too Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302315-wyvern-wip/#findComment-3926425 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
Yes, that is some fantastic weathering! Excellent work :D A repaint isn't always a bad thing, especially if it yields results like this ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302315-wyvern-wip/#findComment-3926463 Share on other sites
our_baz
Really like it. How have you achieved it? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302315-wyvern-wip/#findComment-3926563 Share on other sites
pathatrick
This is all airbrush for the paint. Well I was too lazy to tape off the regimental stripes because I knew I was going to weather them pretty heavily. So i used a large brush for that. Weathering is done with pick and pluck foam and craft paint. I do that first and then use a detail brush for scratches and heavy dings, as well as lenses and fine detail. Next up is the treads and Typhus Corrosion. thanks for the replies. pathatrick
I'll try to get that up in the next week or so. I should also note when painting a Wyverns it is 10 times easier if you don't glue the crew, turret, and guns down Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302315-wyvern-wip/#findComment-3927606 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
Yes most definitely, you'd be quite mad to assemble it entirely first  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302315-wyvern-wip/#findComment-3927764 Share on other sites
