Sith’ari
Agreed! Especially since the exhaust pipes on the mauler fiend kit are basically mini organs anyway. Scaling up a set of organ pipes with the plastic technology they have nowadays would be child's play for them. Duke Danse Macabre
I'm no saying it is going because it is too compex, no I am saying it is going because we had an alt FW kit which is much simpler in design to be part of a repressor/exorcist multi kit and that he Exorcist where as it is awesome created allot of issues in games for things like true LOS. Especially with really gamey tournament players claiming it can not draw LOS due to it aiming up and others arguing under the new edition that it states that models can not be shot if they are only visablevia gun barrle or decorative parts like wings which the Organ would fall under bother decorative and gun barrle when you take into account the FW version was essentially a slight variation on a whirlwind. *Furyou Miko
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v205/KaguraHakubi/Forum%20Comments/MikoUnimpressed-1.png That kind of gamey tournament player are morons who don't deserve to play against my glory. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v205/KaguraHakubi/Forum%20Comments/MikoSatisfied.png In any case, the forge world exorcist predates the GW exorcist design. They're unlikely to go back to it, although I sincerely doubt a plastic Repressor kit after so many statements that the GW studio won't steal any more Forge World designs. Duke Danse Macabre
We all hate those kinds of tournament players but sadly I play in tournaments against all those fun Eldar wave Serpent/wraithlord/seerstar spams, Daemon Summoning lists, Drop Pod Space wolves wih Thunder Wolves Combo and I am not allowed to hit them. Also worth mentioning my works eyeboard sucks, I keep typing but the keys are so none responcive i keep losing damn letters and having to go back to fix things. I can sill see a GW epressor, not the same look no but everything is built off Rhinos these days, I hink it will go down the Nephilim Root and have a Rhino covered in masonry... Duke Danse Macabre
Limited Warhammer clubs mate and all he tournament players frequent them as well so I play them even in friendly games to which they take the most broken things they can and it feels like a damn tournament anyway... Thatswhy the local clubs 30+ guys a night who all have 40k in some way now play Malifaux as well, lucky to see 3 40k games on now at night. I think tournament players kill clubs but I go where the games are. :P I remember my Templars, last game under the old codex, did not have the 1850 points on me without using the kitchen sink so I scraped together a 1850 list for one last huzzah, holy hand grenade the lot. 7 Drop Pods, a guard blob with LIbarian so they never ran, 2 Vendetta, Inquisitor to help with reserves and 4 Scratch made anti air turrets form a FW book, modeled for advantage on a smaller foot print because he said was cheaper than buying FW ones inside a bit of board scenary which gave 3+ cover to the 2 wound, Toughness 7, 3+ save, 2 Shot, Twin Linked, Strength 8, AP 3, Anti Air Turrets... My local meta is fun eh? This is the norm, there are much worse players, multi wolves, mulit Eldar and Taudar, Daemons aplenty then there is me with Templars and Sisters... I must Keep the Faith... Going from bottom up ... I could see it being based on the Chimera chasis with Heavy Flamer turret and bolters replacing laser arrays. About the asshat gamers: I have recently sworn off PUGs for much the same reason. At least in the stores near where I live. One especially. I play because I want to show off my models, have a few laughs and talk about something that does not involve budgets, the price of oil or "agnostic video colabaration technologies." Geez I am so sick of the word agnostic already I want to shoot whoever taught it to the execs. But ... anyway. Life's too short to put up with 40K the Gathering. I have friends and a garage and am happy enough to play here. BitsHammer
Hey all, The 4th of march is coming up. 8am PST 10am CST 11am EST for the US 4pm GMT in the UK 5pm CET for most of Europe Here is a current update: - It seems numbers are looking very good on Social Media (mainly Facebook) and on multiple Warhammer Forums. This Includes international Forums (more than just US+UK). - Most who have agreed to participate are now just waiting for the Date and a reminder on the day. Thanks to all, but your help is still needed: We need to spread this as far as we can. Not coercing those who are not interested, but making sure everyone has heard of it and is participating if they want to. - GW has replied the following in response to an email: "If people wish to make a large order for a model at a certain time, the website/webstore will be able to handle it without issue." -It has been suggested that we all post up pics of the painted model(s) being purchased, to send to White Dwarf, both in support of the cause and for them to have a massive repository of Sisters of Battles pictures. That or post them here. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302415-organized-sisters-purchase/page/2/#findComment-3966086 Share on other sites
Sith’ari
That last part about photos of the painted minis has piqued my interest (not that I wasnt fired up before! :D) In fact, whose up for a mini painting event, similar to the daemon pact events over on the Chaos side of the forum? We spend a month painting one of the mini's we've bought for the protest and post them up for all to see on the deadline. Everyone gets fancy forum badges for taking part and then we all have a cheeky beer and a chat online about our faves. Sounds like fun to me! march10k
ROFL..."please cancel my order if you run out of models" Yeah, the first thing GW did was ramp up production of meltagunning sisters! I look forward to picking up a few of them on ebay after the event ;) Don't get me wrong, I want a new codex. Not so sure about new models, the ones we have, apart from lacking variety of poses, are amazing. I'm also a little concerned that new models might turn out to be unhelmeted space marines with a bob. I dread androgynous "sisters." Some of the current range, specifically the repentia, are a little oversexualized, but the power-armored sisters are feminine without being erotic...perfect! I find it hard to imagine plastics that gain poseability without losing the dresses. *Furyou Miko
I did disagree with Black Talon, the organiser, emailing GW before hand for similar reasons. Part of the point is to get their attention by stressign their stocks, you can't do that if they have forewarning. march10k
Maybe because they normally sell 3/wk, and this event has stressed the system by creating demand for 5/wk? And has anyone considered that the surge in demand for that one specific model is likely to be accompanied by a corresponding trough in its sales following the event as some consumers buy now what they would have bought later anyway? This whole thing is a tempest in a teacup. You want to create real demand? Convince a non-sisters-player or two to start a sisters army. Presto, instant demand for 60 sisters models.
