Chefzilla
After an extensive search and debate. I've finally decided on the models for my Veteran squads. Drum roll, please! http://victoriaminiatures.highwire.com/product/highland-guard-universal-10-man-squad I just love the look of these guys. CoffeeGrunt
Great choice! I've bought parts from Victoria for my Chem Dogs. Every part I got was great, with the usual caveats of resin like flash, release agent and bent parts, but those are easily fixed. These'll give you a nice, characterful and unique army. I'd build them up slowly and paint them a squad at a time, in order to keep on top of the painting, and to spread the cost around. Chefzilla
And then I went to HeroForge.com and created a Sgt. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302436-ive-made-my-choice/#findComment-3929052 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
An excellent choice Chef. I'm starting to wonder if Victoria should be paying the barracks a commission  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302436-ive-made-my-choice/#findComment-3929185 Share on other sites

CyderPirate
Snap! I've gone for the same guys :D (got some pics here) Like Coffee said, there's the usual few flash and bending issues with resin, but I'm yet to have any problems with it. Look forward to seeing them all painted up, not to mention the Heroforge sarg! I hadn't seen that site before Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302436-ive-made-my-choice/#findComment-3929290 Share on other sites

CyderPirate
Sometimes resin sometimes gets warped en-route and it arrives a little out twisted or bent. Its easily fixed though, just put the resin in some hot water and gently bend it back into shape. Cheers man :D Sadly its not tartan, I've just painted a grid on freehand. I don't have the skill (yet) to do proper tartan, but I'm happy with my method for now. You get the impression of what its supposed to be at least! There are a few tutorials kicking around for doing proper tartan if you fancy giving it a go. Chefzilla
As soon as they arrive, I'll get right on it. I'm not one to sit letting models get unbuilt especially models like these. WarriorFish
That's good to hear - try and stay on top of your plastic habit and you'll do very well. It's too late for the rest of us though  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302436-ive-made-my-choice/#findComment-3930281 Share on other sites
