escape hatches as alternative to transport?

First off, just double checking my understanding of the rules:

1. I can deploy my firestorm redoubt in my deployment zone (i.e. 12" from centre line).

2. If it has an escape hatch, I can put it within 12" and as it is just a token and not deployed, I don't have to keep it in my deployment zone. In theory it could end up on the centre line of the board.

3. Following normal disembarkation rules, models could then be placed up to 6" from that token when disembarking. Meaning in theory I could disembark up to 6" from the enemy deployment zone, depending on the placement of the access point etc. I could then rapid fire bolters normally (no charges though).

4. That same unit could embark back into the building the next turn. Once again rapid firing.

5. Embarked models could choose to use the escape hatch to disembark a building as it was being destroyed, potentially allowing them to evade an impending charge.

That seems quite nice to me. Could be really nice for grey hunters.

It's mostly in the BRB - in the building section it says you embark/disembark from buildings just like a vehicle. And then the vehicle section says you can move up to 6" away from the access point as part of disembarking. The rules for the escape hatch are in stronghold assault.

This is super interesting though. I'm not sure i have the latest stronghold assault rules, but it seems like it all checks out.

At first glance though, it seems crazy OP, and I'm not sure I'd want to use it against anyone I liked. I hope some of the more experienced players can comment on this.
