GrandMagnus
I am curious if anybody has any suggestions or ideas on how to create flat surface MK IV chestplates, such as this one: http://www.warseer.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=193276&d=1400075610 I like MK IV armour, except for the cables crossing the chest. Any thoughts? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302633-tubeless-mk-iv/ Share on other sites
Doghouse
I think there is one with the Red Scorpions upgrade set, there may be some in the MK IV assault marines too. PastelAvenger
The upgrade set has a MKiv where the tubes are hid. Also look at Destroyers and Assault MKiv they have flat chest pieces. GrandMagnus
Any idea where I can get destroyer and assault torsos? Just the torsos. Because buying assault squads to create tacticals would prove expensive in the long term. PastelAvenger: do you mean the EC upgrade set? I should note Im not interested in emperors children, so those are out of the question, I want a more or less bare piece. Atia
here's what you want: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space_Marine-Infantry-and-Accessories/MK_IV_SPACE_MARINE_ASSAULT_SQUAD.html http://img3.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/mkivass22h75oflpy4.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302633-tubeless-mk-iv/#findComment-3932500 Share on other sites
Excessus
If you want a chest piece you can also use a Mk VII chest, a knife and some GS... This is my result: http://imageshack.com/a/img838/9863/37qe.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302633-tubeless-mk-iv/#findComment-3932508 Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
The Destroyers have the torso and legs combined already. If you just want torsos, search eBay and bits sellers for the Assault Squad torsos as Atia pointed out. Otherwise, you can try to convert them from plastics, or get the ones with the tubes and remove them. Kaedes Nex
Everyone listed all the places you can get the official versions of that chestplate. I think the reason it lacks tubes is it's some kind of up-armored melee-oriented version of Mk IV. That's how they labeled the piece from the Mk IV upgrade set, and you can find variants of it in all the assault-based Mk IV kits. No there is a MKiv power weapon upgrade set that comes with 2 armoured MKiv torsos. They do look a bit like MKiii to be fair. Anyways, all good ideas, I guess Im gonna have to prowl ebay for the torsos. I dont dare cutting up a forge world torso :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302633-tubeless-mk-iv/#findComment-3932804 Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
I never noticed that. It is two MkIII torso in the picture with all the weapons, but in the other pics showing them being used, it properly displays the MkIV torsos. I use them for heavy weapon guys Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302633-tubeless-mk-iv/#findComment-3932837 Share on other sites
