bigted
Hi everyone I just placed and order with Victoria minis for various parts that I will be using to make some really cool guardsmen! I'm using the bare arms, ranger bodies, combat legs and kneeling legs from the ranger section of their webstore. I'm also getting 3 fusion guns. I will use these guys as veterans with camo cloaks, or maybe scions (to represent how badass they are ). I will use them alongside regular Catachan models as I can't afford to make a decent sized army at Victoria prices . I will post pics when they are made, by which time I will hopefully have a WIP log (I had nearly finished making a WIP thread yesterday when I accidentally presses the back button. I couldn't stomach copying over all those pics and re-writing everything I'd already written so I went back to assembling minis ). Here's a teaser of a guy I just finished painting up (the pic is so close up that all the little imperfections in the paint look much worse than they actually are). http://i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah161/James_Dulcich/IMG_3154_zpsbi7zemdw.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302697-getting-some-victoria-minis/ Share on other sites

Chefzilla
Mine are in transit. Just wondering how long shipping from Australia is? I went with the Highland Guard for my Vets. bigted
Thanks Warriorfish! I will hopefully have my WIP thread up by tonight. @Chefzilla I saw your thread about getting Highland Guard. Those models look awesome, and I kinda regret playing Catachan now because I can't use awesome models like those guys in my army . I don't know how long shipping is from Australia, but I live in New Zealand (right next to Australia for those of you that don't know geography) so hopefully not long. Chefzilla
Hopefully not too long. Funny thing is my wife ordered some yarn from England and it got here in less than a week. I'm figuring about a week. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/302697-getting-some-victoria-minis/#findComment-3934304 Share on other sites

WarriorFish
It depends on when it was despatched and courier method of course, but there's additional procedures to exporting from Australia. For example they need to check for the multitude of Catachan fauna that might sneak in the box, as well as turn the packages the right way up. CoffeeGrunt
Mine arrived within a week over the New Year, and that's to the opposite side of the planet. They should be pretty punctual! bigted
Got them yesterday (fast shipping!) They're all assembled and look awesome, but I forgot to order bases . I will post pics when they're painted. I ordered 3 "fusion guns" (melta guns) so they will be camo cloak melta vets. Only way to improve would be if the bare arm package came with a raised gun to make it look like the model is aiming down the sight. CoffeeGrunt
I got a couple of those Meltaguns. Very cool models, I personally loved the way they looked like a repurposed plasma engine or something that had been weaponised. Makes Gets Hot a much more believable event! bigted
Working on painting one up now. I had to rip a poor Tau foul xenos off his base to use it for the guy I'm painting. Totally worth it! I've done most of the basing and washing, now I need to do some detail work, drybrushing and highlighting. Will post when done.
