Dark Hunters?

Bit of a necro on this but another Dark Hunters-related copyright infringement case has popped up: http://www.theguardian.com/books/2016/feb/10/sherrilyn-kenyon-sues-cassandra-clare-for-wilfully-copying-her-novels

There's been other confirmations that it was a copyright issue that sunk Paul Kearney's book so looks like it's a more contested name than I thought.

It's a shame that such a good book  as the last detail is buried for having another name as a stupid romance novel.  The books can probably be really easily edited to change the name as I don't remember them mentioning the chapter much. Still, glad I have the book.

It is a shame, particularly that they only caught this, what, a week before release? http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/title-row-its-pulped-fiction-for-writer-paul-kearney-31155072.html

A whole run pulped. I think I saw mention of it coming out under a different name but it may be BL will see how this new case falls out first.

I'd recommend it to a person new to 40k though, it's really a solid novel from that perspective.

What are the Dark Hunters like?

Bland. Nothing like the WS at all. There's one dude who sort of still does things the old Chapter way but other than that they could be a successor to any Legion the way they're written.

That is quite disappointing and makes me not care about whether this novel is ever published

I thought they'd diverge from the Scars but still retain some old traditions
